Our multicultural Latino-led agencies are dedicated to our caregivers. ASI created a conference focused on the home care industry, home care aides, and family caregivers. ASI's success is due in part to: n Creating the ASI care continuum model that focuses on care coordination to maintain clients' health and ability to lead quality independent lives. n Creating partnerships with community organizations, hospitals, colleges and other institutions of higher learning. n Demonstrated commitment to continuous training of home care aides and administrative staff, which impacts the quality of services provides. MISSION ASI's mission is to provide quality supportive care services and resources to senior citizens and persons with disabilities throughout metropolitan Chicago. We help people to age well and recover well in their own homes. PROGRAMS ASI is a 45-year-old nonprot agency providing quality homecare services to post- acute, elderly, and disabled individuals annually. ASI's dedicated staff makes it possible for seniors and people with disabilities to live a more dignied life at home. Originally created as an employment agency in 1975, ASI has evolved into the leading home care agency in Chicago, providing bilingual, bicultural services to a diverse client base: Latino 56%, African American 30%, White 12%, and Asian 1%. A big part of ASI's foundation is training. ASI's main office is located in Bucktown/Logan Square, 2619 W. Armitage Ave., and its satellite office is located in Little Village (South Lawndale), 2841 W. Cermak Road. While ASI serves the Chicagoland area, under the Illinois Department of Aging ASI serves Chicago, Cicero/Berwyn, Oak Park, and Thornton Township. We also provide personal assistant/homemaker and short term/heavy duty chore programs.
