he is a teacher, actor, writ-
er, speaker and entrepre-
neur. But the reason Tami-
ka Lecheé Morales occupies
this cover is not any of those
abilities; it's because of her big,
charitable heart. Of Puerto Rican
origin, Tamika is the founder of
the Autism Hero Project, an
organization inspired by her son
Maximillian, who was diagnosed
with autism in 2015. The orga-
nization's mission is to serve as
a bridge for families who can't
access medical insurance for
therapies. Tamika's story is part
of our special edition "100 Latino

essential organizations for our
community in an extraordinarily
