The state Public Service Commission is considering whether utility lines will have to be moved. "The numbers are totally bogus and are being counted by the Joint Finance Commission as true." Democrats on May 9 argued that the state should not be interfering in a Milwaukee project. Republicans argued that if the project were paid for, in part, through utility rates, that cost would be borne by people living outside Milwaukee County. More than likely, Bauman said, the costs for utility relocation will be covered by the city's budgeted money. "We are going to do everything we can to get the costs for utility relocation down to zero, or as close as we can to it," said Bauman, whose aldermanic district DID YOU KNOW?
