Lady Charger head basketball coach Kyle McCutchan commented, "I thought overall it went pretty well. It showed us things we need to spend more time on practicing and we got tired in the third quarter, and so we settled for too many jump shots. "I thought the last six-minute stretch we played very well, especial- ly on defense and it led to baskets on the other end." Nine girls make up the lineup, including four with varsi- ty experience. Senior forward Mallory Hickey and senior guard Kenzie Powell join juniors Mallory Hunt at Center and Kya Leighty at forward. Sophomore guards are Tiffany Arteaga, Mad- elyn Fiscus, Delaney Welch, Kah- le Young and Keena Young. Fresh- man include guards Ashlynn Kirk, Brailey Mills, Jamie Sallee and Ru- by Sallee and forwards Shelby Mead- ows and Kelby Leighty. They travel to Evansville Reitz to open the sea- son on Thursday. Season final for the COVID-19 Bass Tournament The season final for the 63 Group COVID-19 Bass Tourna- ment was on Halloween and was won by Alan Faith and Ken- ny Osgatharp, who took first place and big bass. Keith Brock and Lou Karsner took second, and Beau Dillon and Isaac Ross were third. Alan Faith was the points leader for the year and Keith Brock had the big bass of the year, weighing 6.39 pounds, with was caught at Prides Creek. Beau Dillon reports that the tournament returns starting on Thursday nights in the spring. He contested the number one singles spot and was on the road for ev- ery match in this fall sea- son. Pike Central Middle School tennis players are shown with fall tennis awards, including: Eli Arnold, most single wins, Nate Carter, Carter Blackwell and Jauden Bolin, most doubles wins.
