The Daily Star, Oneonta, N.Y., Friday, October 30, 2020 20 By Rachel Jones TV Media Bon voyage: There's trou- ble at sea as the Season 8 pre- miere of "Below Deck" hits Bravo on Monday, Nov. 2. The fearless and reckless crew of the charter yacht "My Sean- na" is led by none other than Captain Lee Rosbach, who's been spearheading the crew since the show began back in 2013. This season, their charter is taking them back to the Carib- bean. It's been a while since Captain Rosbach has visited the area and there have been some major changes since his last time there. They're dealing with more than just cabin fe- ver, as halfway through their charter they discover the world around them is strug- gling with the coronavirus. And this time they're sailing with new crew members, a new chief and a new boat chef. But how will these new trainees stand up against their predecessors? At the end of Season 7, Kate Chastain announced she was leaving the show, which came as a shock to the crew and a major blow to Captain Ros- bach. The two of them had sailed together for years and had grown to be family. But now there's a new chief stew- ard in town — Australian yachting expert Francesca Rubi — and she's running a tight ship. But the Stew (as her position is often called) needs to be someone the captain can trust completely. Will she be able to live up to Kate's lega- cy? Luckily, Eddie Lucas is re- turning as the ship's bosun, who's been Rosbach's right- hand man in the past. As for the new chef on board, Cap- tain Rosbach has never been happier. In fact, in an interview with Andy Cohen, Rosbach said Chef Rachel was the "best, most knowledgeable chef" he'd ever worked with on a yacht. We're excited to see what dishes she whips up for her charter guests. Speaking of charter guests, it looks like this season's boat- ers are getting a little crazy, es- pecially since the trailer shows them eating sushi off a wom- an's body. realtalk Captain Lee Rosbach from "Below Deck" B/The Pine Shoppe 6x7.5
