Harold was born June 2, 1935 in Rutherford County to the late Henry Crawford Bailey and Mary Jones Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Bailey and by three brothers. Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Danny Ray Hardin of Gaffney and Richard Hardin (Debbie) of Ellenboro; two sisters, Mary Sue Buff of Rutherfordton and Ruth Padgett of Ellenboro; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ernie Cole offici- ating. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Mike and Karen Hardin Borders of Shelby. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. In addition to his parents, those left to miss him are his sisters, Tiffany Borders and ROY LEE TONEY Roy Lee Toney, 76, of Waco, NC, passed away on October 4, 2020 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. He was born in Rutherford County, NC, son of the late Nelson G. and Zettie Propst Toney and was preceded in death by his siblings, Helen Marlow, Hazel Toney and Paul Toney; ; and a granddaughter, Jessica Ann. JAMESON MARSHALL McGILL Jameson Marshall McGill's journey on this side of Heaven ended in his par- ents' arms on October 2, 2020 at Levine Children's Hospital after complications from open-heart surgery. JONATHAN THAD "THUD" ROYSTER Jonathan Thad "Thud" Royster, age 46, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Caromont Regional in Gastonia. Born on May 30, 1974 he was the son of Terry Washburn Royster of Lattimore and the late John Thomas Royster. In addition to his father, Thad is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents. In addition to his moth- er, Thad is survived by his wife of 23 years, Alysia Bolick Royster of the home; a daughter, Erika Ava Royster; and two brothers, Trent Royster (Heather) of Fallston and Tyler Royster (Julie) of Polkville. JUANITA HENDRICK HOYLE Juanita Hendrick Hoyle, 93, of Lawndale, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Huntersville Oaks in Huntersville. Born in Cleveland County, on August 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Doyle Hendrick and Lou Ella Wright Hendrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of seventy one years, Billy Webb Hoyle; two brothers, CD Hendrick and Billy Hendrick and a sis- ter, Marshal Ann Williams. Henry Mathew Cherpak Jr., 77, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully, sur- rounded by his loved ones on October 5, 2020 at his home. He was born in Morenci, AZ, son of the late Henry Mathew and Anne Mary Giron Cherpak. He married the love of his life, Arcilia "Archie" Luna on April 7, 1970. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. Survivors: include his wife of 50 years: Arcilia Luna Cherpak, of the home; daughters: Eddy Jo Cherpak, Charlotte, NC and Catherine Anne Cherpak, Columbus. He was born in Cleveland County, NC on January 17, 1927 to the late Randall Earl Sims and the late Lillie Daniels Sims. Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Johnson Sims; one daughter, Beverly Sims Stroud; two granddaugh- ters, Brooke Ingrid Kee and LaSonya Denise Stroud; one great-grandson, Shaun Isaiah Surratt; six brothers, James Earl Sims, Robert Sims, John Sims, Joseph Sims, Clifton Sims and Tyree Sims and a sister, Irene Sims Portee.
