Harold was born June 2, 1935 in Rutherford County to the late Henry Crawford Bailey and Mary Jones Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Bailey and by three brothers. Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Danny Ray Hardin of Gaffney and Richard Hardin (Debbie) of Ellenboro; two sisters, Mary Sue Buff of Rutherfordton and Ruth Padgett of Ellenboro; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Henry Mathew Cherpak Jr., 77, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully, sur- rounded by his loved ones on October 5, 2020 at his home. He was born in Morenci, AZ, son of the late Henry Mathew and Anne Mary Giron Cherpak. He married the love of his life, Arcilia "Archie" Luna on April 7, 1970. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam.
