Hicks will oversee ticket sales, maintain ticketing software and serve watts hicks as an IT liaison. Watts will oversee the food and beverage program and manage retail operations for the water park. Kam Fierstine, of the Unilever Henderson Ice Cream Plant, was recognized at the U.S. Dairy Sustainability Awards in Washington, D.C., for his efforts to advance sustainability. Greg Brower, a partner at Snell & Wilmer, was named to the executive committee of the Federalist Society's Criminal Law and Procedure Practice Group. The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies, founded in 1982, is a think tank devoted to the rule of law. The award was given by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. United Guaranty opened a new location in Las Vegas. AJB General Contractor is remodeling a 6,130-square-foot commercial building and parking lot addition for a new Egg Works location on South Eastern Avenue. Established in 1988 as The Egg and I, the restaurant chain has three other Las Vegas locations. VSR Industries produced and installed 1,200-plus slot bases and 14,000 high-security gaming locks at the new Solaire Resort in the Philippines. VSR has worked in the Asian gaming market for almost 10 years and has provided similar products for various properties under the Sands Gaming Corporation umbrella. Arcata Associates Inc. and JT3 were selected as semifinalists for the "2013 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award" from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense operational committee. Pediped footwear, a children's shoe company based in Henderson, will open its first shopping center store May 17 at Town Square. MGM Resorts International earned the top ranking on DiversityInc's "Top 10 Regional Companies" list for diversity best practices. The magazine also named the corporation one of the "Top 10 Companies for Latinos."
