Located at Crowe Park, it offi cially opened at 5PM on Friday, September 4 as North Carolina moved into Phase 2.5. It has many fun features, including a climbing wall, rope climbs, slides, xylophones and more. The new playground replaces the former equipment which was originally installed in 1988 and in need of a major renovation. The Town of Forest City would like to recognize the Public Works Department for completing the demolition and grading, the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Crew for the design and installation of the landscaping and Town staff that worked diligently to ensure that the project was completed under budget. Located at 267 Crowe Park Drive, the playground is also adjacent to several picnic shelters which are available for rent. The Parks and Recreation Department is happy to help you reserve a shelter for your next family reunion or birthday party. We invite everyone to come out and enjoy the new playground! For more information, please call 828-248- 5220, visit townofforestcity.com and follow the Town of Forest City on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
