Monuments of Distinction 704-481-1198 www.riverhillmonuments.com Family Owned & Operated Since 1957 ©Community First Media Community First Media As we face the headwinds of a changing culture and the marginalization of societal traditions, there needs to be an enduring constant which will never change. The norm that should never be discarded is the sanctity of life. A culture that does not dignify life is capable of committing terrible atrocities. If you were to study the genocides of world history, you would fi nd the common thread of prejudice, hatred and intolerance toward certain ethnic groups or beliefs. A total disregard for individual human life has led to countless millions upon millions of lives being slaughtered without mercy or compassion. The only thought that will combat this evil mindset is that every life originates from God. God is the giver of life. This inlcudes all people of skin color, ethnicity, or personal beliefs. Those who seek to lessen the importance of a single life are guilty of playing a role only meant for the Creator. To say that one life matters more than another is a slippery slope. As a nation, we must stop allowing "hate mongers" the ability to infl uence the public arena. We should ignore the mainstream media, athletes and the politicians who seek to divide us. Love for our neighbor should be the message promoted by those who desire healing. We should also stand up for those who have no voice, which includes the unborn. A society that does not honor life is a society destined for collapse.
