She was born on May 6, 1952 in Washington, to the late Eugene Oliver and Velas- ta Bess (Deen) Morris. HELEN RUTH CATO Helen Ruth Cato, 79, of Vel- pen, passed away at 2:59 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2020, at her res- idence. She was born January 9, 1941, in Velpen, to Travis and Pernenia ( Jones) Cato. She was a factory worker, enjoyed playing solitaire, fur- niture restoration, gardening, and bird watching—especial- ly hummingbirds. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Cato (com- panion, Kevin Beadles), of Velpen; four sisters, Imogene Krohn, of Coe, Wanda Lee, of Petersburg, Sharon (Tony) Hayes, of Velpen and Karen (Steve) Haase, of Otwell. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Yulin Gene Cato and Donald Cato. Funeral services for Hel- en Ruth Cato were at 2 p.m., on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen. He was born May 11, 1955 in Indianapolis, to Leland and Carolyn (Fitzgerald) English. He attended Winslow High School and graduated in 1973. He was a Boilermaker with Lo- cal #374 from 1975 -1986. He served as the Winslow Town Marshall from 1986 -2019. Steve was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Winslow Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Tamela English, of Winslow; son, Adam English, of Evans- ville; daughter, Abbey ( Joey) Evans, of Evansville; step-son, Greg (Courtney) Loveless, of Petersburg; step-daughter, Melody ( Joe) Faulk, of Peters- burg; grandchildren, Trace, Cassidy, Alex, Addison, Dal- ton, Connor, Laryn, and Mad- dox; sister, Sandy Delap, of New Harmony; and brother, Keith (Cheri) English. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Seth Allen English; brother, Bill English; and sister, Lela Kay Traylor. Harris Funeral Home is en- trusted with care. TIMOTHY E. ROBLING Timothy E. Robling went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2020. Tim ("Big'n") was born on Feb. 15, 1961 in Oakland City. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his sister Cindy (Dewey) Johns, his brother Dale (Liz) Robling, and two nieces Megan and Kabrea. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Pearl Robling, his father Don- ald Robling, and his beloved dog "Bub". A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date. FR ANCES (MCELLHINEY) LUFF Frances (McEllhiney) Luff, 90, of Francisco, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020, at Co- lumbia Healthcare Center in Evansville. She was born September 10, 1929, in Princeton, to the late Robert Royal McEllhiney and Della Marada (Bell) McEll- hiney. She had resided in Gibson County her entire lifetime. She was a housewife and had worked at the former Potter and Brumfield in Princeton for many years. She was a mem- ber of the First General Bap- tist Church in Princeton and a former member of the Fairview Presbyterian Church, rural Princeton. She was also a mem- ber of Golden Fleece Chapter No. 176, Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by two sons, Greg A. Luff, of Boonville, and Michael (Lisa) Luff, of Peters- burg; four grandchildren, Greg- ory Allen ( Jennifer) Luff II, of Chandler, Jonathan Paul Luff, of Boonville, Nikki Lea (Brett) (Luff ) Anderson, of Algonquin, Ill., and Tyler Michael Luff, of Evansville; eight great-grand- children, Austin, Jenna, Addi- son, Lexi, Jack, Ava, Camden and Isabella; a sister-in-law, Cla- rice (Luff ) Nau; five nieces and one nephew, Kay (McEllhin- ey) Parke, Janet (McEllhiney) Robinson, Janice Proctor, Da- vid Luff, Cindy (Nau) Cornel- ison and Kathy (Nau) Bishop. ELSIE BELL Elsie Bell, 94, of Oakland City, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born May 1, 1926 in Wheeling to the late Carson C. White and Gillie Lydia ( White- house) White. She married Wayne L. Bell on August 7, 1942 and they were blessed with 68 years together before his passing in 2007. Elsie worked her young- est years in a powdered egg factory in Oklahoma for the service boys during W WII. She went on to work at Potter and Brumfield as a machine operator for 40 years. She was a devoted member of Somer- ville Community Church and the Oakland City Senior Cit- izens. She enjoyed traveling, especially on bus trips and handmaking beautiful quilts for her children and grandchil- dren who will cherish them always. She was a wonderful cook, known for her pies and dumplings, and loved her fam- ily dearly. She loved the Lord with all her heart and always read her Bible every night. She will be missed beyond measure. She is survived by her chil- dren, Carolyn Ann Kelle, Brenda Koelling, Patty (Carl) Koelling, and Betty Jo ( Joe) Singleton; grandchildren, Lori (Randy) Hollander, Rusty (Tammy)Kelle, Timo- thy Koelling, Tia (Marcus) Matthew, Randy (Beth) Sin- gleton, Andy (Cheryl) Sin- gleton, and Cortni McEll- hiney; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Tyler, Hunter, Andy, Mack, Jordan (Sarah), Baylee, Nesha ( Josiah), Austin, Peter, and Elias; great-great-grand- children, Alena and Bailee, step-great-great-grandchild, Justice; sister, Margaret Rec- tor; and several nieces and nephews. She loved to read, crochet, and spend time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Barrett, of Huntingburg; her mother, Bet- ty Lou Wilson; one brother, Melvin J. Wilson; five grand- children and one great-grand- child. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Barrett; her father, William Lloyd Wilson; and two sib- lings, William L. BEATRICE ELOISE BEAUCHAMP Beatrice Eloise Beau- champ, 103, of Oakland City, entered rest on Tuesday June 30, 2020, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was born on May 2, 1917, in Oakland City, to Ted and Cora Gooden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joy Beau- champ; daughter, Coralyn Da- vis; and granddaughter, Shel- ley Marble. She was a homemak- er, who reveled in her fami- ly. She was a faithful mem- ber of the Forsythe Church family and served as Sunday school teacher, as well as be- ing a choir member. She en- joyed cooking and was well known for the delicious pies she baked. She was born in Oakland City. She was married to Bud- dy Bruner for 26 years. She was a homemaker for several years, went to college, then made a career as a medi- cal records coder until she re- tired. Her passion was gene- alogy, and she spent years re- searching her family's history. She also loved to travel, square dance and read. She is survived by one broth- er, Owen (Faye) Fair; three daughters, Kathryn (Michael) Wise, Kristi (Dwight) Stump and Lisa (Keith) Latham; and eight grandchildren. She was born in Oakland City on May 9, 1923, to the late John A. and Vada Irene (Swaf- far) Rutter. She graduated from Winslow High School, Class of 1941, where she was the drum major. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls and was a Girl Scout leader. She faithfully attended St. Benedict Cathe- dral and Holy Spirit Catholic Church for many years, and was a recipient of the great care of the Legion of Mary. She is survived by her daughters, Pam (Ed) Espar- za, of Evansville, Kathleen Whitehead, of Indianapolis, and Becky (Bill) Moseley, of McCutchanville; sons, Mike (Kim) Whitehead, of Evans- ville, Greg Whitehead, of Newburgh, and Tod ( Judy) Whitehead, of Evansville; sis- ter, Lucille (Charles) Kenne- dy, of Canyon Country, Ca- lif.; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 14 great great-grandchildren. He enjoyed western mov- ies, I.U. basketball and was a member of Hadi Shrine in Evansville and a lifetime mem- ber of Oakland City Masonic Lodge #467.
