She was retired from Ingle's and was a member Eastside Baptist Church. Survivors include her hus- band of 44 years, Tommy Gene McDowell; two daugh- ters, Debbie Smith and hus- band, Michael of Lawndale and Jennifer Scates and husband, Andy of Boiling Springs; a brother, Joey Mull of Florida; two sisters, Debi Harrill of Shelby and Trish Mull of Shelby; five grand- children, Aaron Haskin, Austin Haskin, Haydin Smith, Payton Hudson and Thomas Scates and one great-grand- child, Holden Haskin. A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Stamey- Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chad Beam officiating. The burial followed the service in the Sunset Cemetery. GRADY EUGENE McDANIEL Grady Eugene McDaniel, 57, of Fallston, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Carolina Medical Center. He was born on May 31, 1963, in Cleveland County, to the late David "Eugene" McDaniel and Margaret Joanne Royster McDaniel. He was the owner and operator of McDaniel's Towing. He, along with his family, attended Word of Truth Fellowship Church, and he was an Assistant Chief of Fallston Community Volunteer Fire Department. and wife Ann of Shelby, Curtis Ledbetter of Shelby, Mike Ledbetter and wife Gail Wilson, Don Ledbetter and wife Bo of Gainesville Ga.; a daughter, Nita Moss and husband Jack of Shelby; a sister, Marlene Fisher of Mooresville; 15 grandchil- dren, 32 great grandchil- dren; and a special cousin, Geraldine Page of Shelby. Funeral service was held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Mark Patchett officiating. Burial fol- lowed at Sunset Cemetery. Cecil M. "Tencie" Rhea, 84, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on June 21, 2020 at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late William J. "Dub" and Alice Sellers Eubanks and was preced- ed in death by her brother, Doug Eubanks. Tencie was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church. She retired after 20 years of service from the Kings Mountain National Military Park where she served as a Park Ranger and cura- tor of the museum. Tencie was a licensed pilot for many years, a member of the Civil Air Patrol and a member of The Ninety-Nines, an organi- zation of women pilots. She enjoyed working with pot- tery, creating stained glass and building furniture. Tencie was always active and loved working with her hands, gar- dening, building and laying brick. She was a loving wife, REBA WILLENA CLARY Reba Willena Clary, age 90 of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 21, 2020. She is survived by her son, David Clary and wife Lisa of Shelby, NC, a granddaugh- ter, Madison Clary of Shelby, NC, two nieces, Denise Jones of Shelby, NC, and Cathy Romines and hus- band Russell of Shelby, NC. Born May 31, 1930 in Cherokee County, SC, Willena was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ida Medley Clary and was pre- ceded in death by two broth- ers, Lloyd Clary and Dean Clary, and four sisters, Lillian Clary, Frances Lemmons, Geraldine Crotts, and Phyllis Ford. SHERMAN ALFONZO "PETEY" LITTLEJOHN Mr. Sherman Alfonzo "Petey" Littlejohn, 49, of 602 Apt. 5 Washignton Street Shelby, NC passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Cleveland County, NC on July 25, 1970 to the late Bessie Lee Littlejohn and Allen Raper. Sherman was a 1988 grad- uate of Crest High School. He was employed at Metals America for a number of years. He was affectionately known for his love for hunting and motor cross. He was an avid bow and arrow collector. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Fannie Mae Smith and pater- Grady had a love of old muscle cars, but he will be remembered for his kind- ness and help to others. He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Lisa Huffman McDaniel and his daughter Graycee McDaniel Blanton and husband Kameron of Fallston. The funeral service was held Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Norton offi- ciating. WYNETTE FISHER LEDBETTER Wynette Fisher Ledbetter, age 79, died Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Atrium Cleveland. Born in Cleveland on April 2, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Theodore "T.B." Woodrow and Bessie Viola Anthony Fisher. Wynette was a member of New Bethel Church of Shelby, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and help- ing Vacation Bible School. She retired from Dicey Mills where she worked in the weave room and cloth inspector. When Wynette retired she became a mem- ber of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed fishing and camping. In addition to her parents, Wynette is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Howard; an infant brother. Wynette is survived by four sons, Wayne Ledbetter nal grandparents, Hubert and Alice Cloud Raper. He leaves to cherish fond memories of him to his son, Tavin Littlejohn of Gaffney, SC; one granddaughter, Adison Littlejohn; two broth- ers, Torrance "Root" Littlejohn of Shelby and Tondra "Bo" Hopper of Gastonia, NC; one sister, Brandy Raper Paige (Joel) of MD; god-brother, Stanley Webber; god-daugh- ter, Kania Brooks both of Shelby; aunts, Thelma Allison and Annie Mae Littlejohn both of Shelby; uncles, Kenneth Littlejohn of TX, Gary Raper and Calvin Miller (Joann) both of Shelby, Elroy Raper (Gloria) of MD; two special neph- ews and one special niece, Jared Littlejohn, Jeremy Littlejohn, Jayla Littlejohn all of Shelby; two ladies who held a dear and special place in his heart, Coralene Littlejohn and Teresa Brooks both of Shelby and a host of additional nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral service for Mr. Littlejohn was private. RUTH WINTERS EASTRIDGE Ruth Winters Eastridge, age 72, died Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Atrium Health- Cleveland. Born in Johnson County, TN on September 1, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Samuel Winters and Dora Perry Winters. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Eastridge and one daughter, Vickie Eastridge. Ruth is survived by her daughter Lee Eastridge of Shelby and son Tony Eastridge of Rockingham. The family will hold ser- vices privately.
