Although this year's Eurovision contest is un- fortunately canceled, on Friday, June 26, you can get a taste of the contest in this comedy that plays on the stereotypes surrounding the event when it premieres on Netflix. Will Ferrell ("Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," 2004) and Rachel McAdams ("The Notebook," 2004) star as aspiring Icelandic musical duo Lars and Sigrit, who are thrilled when they are given the opportunity to represent Iceland in the Eurovi- sion Song Contest. While McAdams may not be known for her musical abilities, Ferrell has been known to sing in many of his roles and was even in the 2005 film production of the Broadway musical "The Produc- ers." "Athlete A" Sexual abuse is never easy to talk about, and too often the issue has been swept under the rug. Thank- fully, that stigma is beginning to change, and more abusers are being held accountable. Netflix has been shining a light on some of the most well-known offenders in powerful documentaries and docuseries such as "Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich," and they're doing it again with "Athlete A," which is set to premiere Wednes- day, June 24, on the streamer. The new series looks at what has been called the biggest sexual abuse scan- dal in sports history: the case of Larry Nassar. Nassar was a sports doctor who worked predominantly with gymnasts and was known for being the best, having worked with nu- merous Olympians, specifically the USA Gymnastics team. Despite an overwhelming number of complaints by his patients and their parents, Nassar's longtime abuse of young women only came to light in 2016, when the Indianapolis Star reported on it. This documentary follows the reporters who broke the story and features interviews with some of Nassar's victims, including NCAA champion gymnast Maggie Nichols.
