Museum reopens June 14 The Dubois County Mu- seum will be reopening on June 14 from 1-4 p.m. The museum will be following COVID-19 guidelines of safe distancing and recom- mending the wearing of face masks. Scheduled programs: • ATHENA Award Grand opening on Thursday, June 18 at 5 p.m. • Nifty Nights-Free Night at the Museum will begin on Thursday, June 25. Nif- ty Nights are free evenings at the museum and open to the public. On June 25 the theme will be Bugs, Butter- flies and Fish. Youngsters are invited in for Storytime (the regularly scheduled Storytime on Saturday, June 13, is cancelled) with crafts and activities planned. Joe "Swampy" Schoenbachler and Friends will be teaching how to tie a Fly Fishing Fly this evening also, beginning at 6 p.m. The time of the free evening is 5:30 -8 p.m. Story- time will begin at 6 p.m. • Swampy and his Friends return on Saturday, June 27, for two more sessions of learning to tie a fly fishing fly at 10 :30 a.m. and at 1 p.m. The museum is open Tues- day through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1-4 p.m. Closed on Monday. The Dubois Coun- ty Museum is a local non- profit organization commit- ted to the collection, preser- vation and interpretation of historical artifacts and infor- mation important to the citi- zens of the county. Public Library opened on Monday, June 8 for browsing under limit- ed service hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The library will on- ly offer curbside service on Saturdays for the time being. Because the number of patrons who can be in the building is limited and be- cause of increased cleaning measures, browsing time is limited to under 30 minutes. All social distancing rules, including mask wearing, are required. Returns should continue to be placed in the dropbox, due to COVID pro- cessing requirements. Two public computers will be available for public use by appointments, with walk-ins welcomed if space is avail- able. Call ahead/personal shopper services are still available, along with mobile printing for those wishing for no-contact services.
