Price, 94, of Petersburg, entered rest on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at her daughter's home. She was born on April 3, 1926, in Posey County, the seventh child of Ralph and Esther (Thurman) Sumn- ers. They moved to Oakland City, where she attended el- ementary and high school, and graduated high school in 1944. A fter graduation, she moved to Evansville and worked at the Thun- derbolt factory building, the P47 airplane used in W W11. She married James Price in 1949. They raised their family in Glezen and worked at the rubber fac- tory in Washington. She graduated from Evansville School of Practical Nursing in 1967 and worked at Wel- born Hospital in Evansville and Good Samaritan Nurs- ing Home in Oakland City. She was a member of East- ern Star Chapter #391, a lifetime member of Peters- burg V.F.W. Auxiliary and past member of the Peters- burg Moose. She was a very faithful and dedicated mem- ber of Glezen General Bap- tist Church. She is survived by daugh- ter, Connie Price (Terry) Barnett, of Petersburg; a son, Jeff (Mitzi) Price, of Winslow; granddaughters, Terra Barnett (Phil) Knust, Kimberlea Eversoll, Christy (Tim Walters) Eversoll; and grandsons, Tyler Price and Beau ( Jill) Barnett; seven great-grandchildren; niec- es and nephew, who were all her favorites; along with several great-great-nieces and nephews; her special friends, Gale and Ed Wick, who were very dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James; daughter, Lyndia; and son-in-law Wrex Eversoll. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. EDT on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Lamb-Bash- am Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Eddie Willis officiating. Burial followed in Montgom- ery Cemetery. He was born on Nov. 16, 1973, in Washington. He was loved by everyone. He is survived by his mother, Toni Summers, of Petersburg; his father, Dan- ny Decker, of Petersburg; his children, Donavon and Jacob Decker, of Peters- burg, Felicia Decker and Devin Decker, of Washing- ton, and Cailon Decker, of Vincennes; his sisters, Kelly Farmer, of Winslow, Aletha Decker, of Evansville, Ju- lie Decker, of Patoka, Kyla Wethington, of Princeton, and Sharon Cannon, of Pe- tersburg; his brothers, Dan- ny Lee Decker, of Marion, and Tracy Decker, of Ten- nessee; his fiancée, Terra Cook, of Petersburg; neph- ews and nieces, Justin, Er- ic and Lacy Drew, Britney Turner and Blake Doerner; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was born October 1, 1985, to Mike and Brenda Rothrock in Jasper. He attended Pike Cen- tral High School. He has been staying busy working as a carpenter/handyman for many years. He loved to work with his hands and wood. He created many unique wood gifts for fam- ily and friends. He enjoyed fishing and camping, and mushroom hunting. He was very talented. He could re- pair anything he tackled. He was just well-rounded and knew something about most things or could figure it out. EARL R AY NORRINGTON Earl Ray "Butch" Nor- rington, 68, of Oakland City, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020. He was born October 5, 1951, in Oakland City, to the late Earl Ray and Anita Lou- ise Norrington. He was an honorary mem- ber of the Paralyzed Veter- ans of America for the past 20 years. He enjoyed being a horse trader and enjoyed the derby. He loved fishing and hunting, especially for wild mushrooms. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sons, Samuel Norrington, Brian (Shelly) Norrington, Josh- ua (Tammy) Norrington, and Jeremy Norrington; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Norrington. The next class will be on Tuesdays, June 9 and 16, from 5:30 –9:30 p.m. in the Health and Wellness Classroom at Memorial South- side Office, 1100 West 12th Avenue in Jas- per. This American Heart Association course provides information on how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes of an emergency until profes- sional help arrives. Skills taught include CPR, AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking. In order to complete the course and receive a course completion card, par- ticipants must pass a written first aid test and successfully complete a skills evalu- ation in CP T and AED. Pre-registration is required, as class size is limited. Cost is $ 85 and the class requires pre-payment.
