From co-creators Greg Daniels ("King of the Hill") and Steve Carell ("The Office"), "Space Force" is a brand-new comedy series that fol- lows fictional decorated pilot Mark R. Naird (Carell) as he commands a group of people responsible for carrying out the White House's instruction to found the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces: The United States Space Force. Naird puts all of his (well-reasoned) doubts behind him to live out an alternate rendition his dream of heading up the U.S. Air Force. He moves his fami- ly across the country to Colorado and begins work with a team of eccentric space scientists and astronauts who all have one goal: total outer-space dominance. The 10-episode first season features several notable actors in recurring roles, from John Malkovich ("In the Line of Fire," 1993), Owen Daniels ("Upload") and Ben Schwartz ("Parks and Rec- reation") to Tawny Newsome ("The Comedy Get Down"), Diana Silvers ("Booksmart," 2019) and "Friends" alumna Lisa Kudrow. This quirky sit- com, pushed straight to series after President Donald Trump ordered the creation of the Space Command ear- lier this year, stays true to all the clas- sic tropes and situational humor of a workplace comedy, with a whimsical interstellar twist. "Hannah Gadsby: Douglas" Enjoy a standup event unlike any other in this new Hannah Gadsby special coming to Netflix on Tuesday, May 26. Gadsby, well known for her raw wit and heartfelt, cutting honesty, first shocked audiences with her award-winning "Nanette" back in 2018. The comedian has been praised for bringing some of life's most difficult topics to the comedy stage. By blending the truth behind the hardships of homophobia, mi- sogyny, sexuality, childhood trauma and living in a small town with per- fectly poignant delivery and hilarious anecdotes, Gadsby manages to provoke deep, meaningful thought in between punchlines. Now, her second special is called "Douglas," named for her eldest dog, and Gads- by continues with the same unique storytelling style but brings brand- new material to the new show. She first began her "Douglas" world tour back in April 2019 — including an Off-Broadway engagement last summer — but was pleased to have the show released on the popular streaming site, as she was unable to perform her routine in every country. This new release is another ground- breaking, honest performance by Gadsby as she tackles subjects such Stream team
