Entertainment Now | May 16 - 22, 2020 By Dana Simpson TV Media You're 'it': Tune in every week this summer for a new take on an old schoolyard game of chase, and watch as average Joes and Janes pit themselves against people with extraordinary abili- ties. Hosted by NFL super-sibling trio T.J., J.J. and Derek Watt, "Ul- timate Tag" is exactly what it sounds like: an intense game of tag for adults. Once a week, ev- eryday people take on the chal- lenge of outrunning a smattering of "Professional Taggers" for viewer entertainment and the possibility of a prize. The Taggers, a hand-picked set of trained ath- letes with abilities ranging from impressive speed to parkour, in- clude stunt actors Josh Yadon ("Dunkirk," 2017), Carrie Ber- nans ("Black Panther," 2018) and Jesse La Flair ("X-Men: Dark Phoenix," 2019) among the many on the roster. Coinciding with the staggered release of a team of Taggers, challengers are asked to hurdle, crawl and dodge obstructions of various sizes and levels of difficulty as they make their way across a three-dimen- sional moving obstacle course while they all keep one common objective in mind: do not get tagged. The show is produced by Znak & Co., a production company run by Natalka Znak, the multi- award-winning reality television hitmaker responsible for dyna- mos from "Hell's Kitchen" to the U.K. hit series "Love Island." Working alongside Znak as exec- utive producers are Znak & Co. head of entertainment Glenn Coomber ("Dancing on Ice") and longtime reality television pro- ducing legend Conrad Green ("Dancing with the Stars"). Having already planned and filmed episodes for a summer season, "Ultimate Tag" is one of only a few series that have re- mained uninterrupted by the coronavirus outbreak. The pilot episode of "Ultimate Tag" launches Wednesday, May 20, on Fox. Mystery genes: Follow crime- solving genealogist CeCe Moore ("Finding Your Roots") in this new forensic documentary series coming to ABC on Tuesday, May 19. The famed genetic genealogist has a long-standing history of television appearances from in- vestigative series such as "20/20" and "60 Minutes" to specialized talk shows such as "The Dr. Oz Show," "The Doc- tors" and "Good Morning Ameri- ca," but until now, she's never had her own show. Moore is best known for her work as a genetic genealogy con- sultant on "Finding Your Roots" and "Genealogy Roadshow," but she has recently been making a name for herself as a detective. Since 2018, Moore has been helping various police depart- ments to solve cases, even man- aging to identify suspects in more than 50 cold cases over the course of a year. By way of a thorough analysis of crime scene DNA — some- thing that often exists in evidence lockers long after a case has gone cold — Moore is capable of link- ing the genes in question to a particular family tree and pin- pointing the assailant. Her new show, "The Genetic Detective," gives viewers a behind-the- scenes look at the unique process of analysis and identification that has proven so effective for Moore over the past few years. Co-produced by ABC News and XCON Productions, "The Ge- netic Detective" begins Tuesday, May 19, on ABC. Truth and lies: America's be- loved game of deception contin- ues for a fifth season when "To Tell the Truth" premieres Thurs- day, May 21, on ABC. Each hour-long episode, hosted by comedy actor Anthony Ander- son ("Black-ish"), features a dif- ferent panel of celebrity guest judges and five sets of three con- testants claiming to be the same person with a unique and distin- guishing trait. For each set of con- testants, there are two liars and one person who is, in fact, who they say they are. It is up to the panel of four celebrities to engage the contestants in a game of "20 questions" to figure out who is telling the truth. If one of the two liars manages to stump the judg- es, he or she has the opportunity to win a prize. Each episode con- sists of five rounds of the hilarious - ly invasive game of guess who. The show is heading into Sea- son 5 of its current format, but it first made waves when it aired on CBS back in 1956. Originally pro- duced by the classic television team of Mark Goodson ("The Match Game") and Bill Todman ("The Price Is Right"), the current series was brought back in 2016. Since then, panel-featured guests have included stars rang- ing from boxing great Mike Tyson to comedians Iliza Shlesinger and Mel Brooks and, in the fourth season's first episode, rapper and TV personality Snoop Dogg. Season 5 of "To Tell the Truth" premieres Thursday, May 21, on ABC. SATURDAY 7:00 P.M. (ESPN) UFC UFC Fight Night Preliminaries (Live) (3:00) 10:00 P.M.
