Entertainment Now | May 2 - 8, 2020 By Kyla Brewer TV Media Campy TV: Sleepaway camp is a rite of passage for millions of young people, but few adults get to experience that sort of free-spir - ited fun — until now. Summer plans may be up in the air for most of us right now, but lucky TV view - ers will soon be able to live vicari- ously through camp counselors at an adult summer camp in Con- necticut. Grown-ups escape the pres- sures and stressors of everyday life to travel to an idyllic setting in the Berkshire Mountains of Kent in the premiere of "Camp Get - away," airing Monday, May 4, on Bravo. Cameras follow the staff of Camp Getaway as they work to cater to their guests' wants and needs, all while navigating the ups and downs of working together all season long. Viewers will get to know camp owner and director David Schrieber, the fearless leader of the crew. He translated his pas - sion for the outdoors into an adult camp experience like no other. He leaves the day-to-day business of the camp up to executive camp di - rector Claire Sorrels, whose tough- love tactics with the staff have earned her a reputation as the res - ident "Mama Bear." Thrill seeker Adam Mizrahi and straight-shooting psychologist Monica O'Neal are senior social coordinators around camp. Their colleagues include fellow social coordinators, such as accountant Gavin Stewart, one-time perform- er Glen North, former beauty queen Neely Fortune, real estate broker Nile Lundgren, educator Randall Klein and businesswoman Sophia D'Angelo. Surely, given the state of the world right now, many people can appreciate the appeal of letting loose in the great outdoors with nary a care in the world. The 300- acre weekend sleepaway camp features traditional camp activi- ties, such as archery, campfires and kickball. However, this camp also features plenty of adult bev- erages, parties and other perks. Enjoy the fun from the comfort of home when "Camp Getaway" premieres Monday, May 4, on Bravo. No average housewife: Real- ity TV shows have the power to in- troduce viewers to people they may never encounter in real life, and viewers are about to meet a new "friend." One of the genre's most iconic franchises returns with a new face and a whole lot of new drama. Modern-day Renaissance wom- an Wendy Osefo joins the cast of "The Real Housewives of Po- tomac" in the Season 5 premiere, airing Sunday, May 3, on Bravo. A professor, political analyst and en- trepreneur, Nigerian-born Osefo brings her strong personality into the Potomac fold as she juggles her busy professional life with her family life as a wife and mother of three. Osefo will be joining returning "Housewives" Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard Bassett. Each of the women is facing her own personal struggles this sea- son, and luckily they'll have each other to lean on. That is, when they aren't facing off against each other. Dillard Bassett continues to clash with Samuels while also dealing with unresolved issues with Darby. All the while, she cele- brates her first year of marriage to Chris and considers having a baby. Meanwhile, Samuels attempts to juggle the needs of her children with those of the family's new feathered friend. Elsewhere, Dar- by basks in the glow of life with her baby, Dean, but news of Mi- chael's wild night on the town rocks her world. When love blossoms once again between Bryant and her ex- husband, Pastor Jamal Bryant, her daughters aren't so sure about how they feel about the situation. Romance is also rocky for Huger and her husband, Ray, after she discovers that his feelings for her may have changed. Elsewhere, Dixon and her beau, Juan, have lived together with their two sons for six years and she's anxious to make things official. Whether they're clashing with their significant others or each other, there's never a dull moment for these women. Don't miss the drama, tune in to the Season 5 premiere of "The Real Housewives of Potomac," airing Sunday, May 3, on Bravo. Medical drama: These days, there's no doubt that health- care workers deserve our respect and admiration. For those who want a sneak peek into the pri- vate lives of doctors and their spouses, a reality show that shines a spotlight on medical professionals in L.A. is about to return for Season 2. Filmmakers document the ups and downs of female doctors and the wives of doctors in "Married to Medicine: Los Angeles," airing Sunday, May 3, on Bravo. The se- ries offers viewers a window into what their lives were like a few months ago, before a global pan- demic changed things for every- one. As in Season 1, the core cast includes psychiatrist Dr. Imani Walker, who takes on the role of single mom while her husband is away on business. Anesthesiolo- gist Dr. Britten Cole has moved across the country to take a full- time job in Los Angeles, but the move has taken its toll on her ro- mantic life. Real estate property manager Shanique Drummond, wife of Dr. Robert Drummond, is torn between her family life and her desire to switch to a career in luxury real estate. At the same time, Jazmin Johnson is deter- mined to prove that she's more than simply a "doctor's wife." This season, the women wel- come two new cast members. Dr. Cole's friend, Dr. Kendra Segura, is an OB-GYN and new mom who works one day per week but is ea- ger to return to a full-time medical practice. Successful entrepreneur Lia Dias, who's married to one of Dr. Walker's colleagues, also joins in the fun this season.
