An online guest registry is available at www.harrelson- funeralhome.com ANN GOFORTH WILLIAMS Ann Goforth Williams, 94 of Beam Street, Fallston, NC, joined her Savior and Heavenly family on Thursday, March 26, 2020. Born March 1, 1926, she is the daughter of the late Giles Marvin and Selena Huffsteller Goforth. In addi- tion to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Blanch A. Williams; son Glenn Williams and grandson Jamie Lewis, both of Shelby; and 3 brothers and 7 sisters. Left to share precious memories are one brother, Jim Goforth and wife Gerri of Clover, SC; two sons, Robert of Fallston and Tom Williams of Casar; three daughters, Rebecca of the home, Rachel and Mary Jane Williams, both of Shelby; and a daughter- in-law Nellie Williams of Shelby. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild; along with numerous nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors who loved her dearly. During WWII, Ann joined the U.S. Nurses Cadet Corp; after the war, she became a wife and mother. Later she went to work as a nurse at Shelby Hospital for 10 years and Belwood Clinic for 20 years and touched many lives. Ann was an avid read- er, gardener and traveler. She was an active mem- ber of 73 years at Fallston Baptist Church and served as a teacher and WMU President; a member of the Order of Eastern Star Fallston Chapter #282 for over 50 years, serving in various capacities, including Worthy Matron. She par- ticipated in Cleveland Co. RANDY TAVERNIA Randy Tavernia, age 64, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at his brother's residence in Ellenboro. Randy was born November 26, 1955 in Malone, New York to the late Donald Charles Tavernia and Theresa Mainville Tavernia. He worked for Hilldrup Moving & Storage/United Van Lines for many years. Randy served in the Army National Guard and loved his country dearly. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, and camping. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Bradley James Tavernia Those left to cherish his memory includes a son, Randy "Peter" Tavernia of Rutherfordton; three daugh- Senior Olympics for over 20 years, winning many gold and bronze medals; and at the state level. Ann was a humble, kind, loving and hard-working Christian lady with a ready smile and encouraging words for everyone she met. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and was lovingly known as the Beam Street Angel. Even more than her love for family and friends, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and faithfully spent time with Him and in His Word each day. ELBERT MUNSEY Mooresboro – Elbert Munsey, 88, died peace- fully the evening of Sunday, March 29, 2020 at his home. Born January 1, 1932 to the late Marion Herbert Munsey and Lizzie Childress Munsey. He was passion- ate about church and was a faithful member of the Cliffside Baptist Church. Elbert was a member of the Cliffside Masonic Lodge and a Korean War Vet. In addition to his parents he was pre- ceded in death by three brothers. He will be missed and is survived by his loving and devoted wife Macy Harris Munsey; one son Dean Munsey and wife Ann; two brothers C.C. Munsey and Paul Dean Munsey; three CHARLES THOMAS DOVER "TOMMY" Charles Thomas Dover "Tommy", age 66, passed away on March 29, 2020 at Wendover Hospice of Shelby, NC. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Dover of Shelby, NC, a daughter Tammy Costner of Fallston, NC, a son, Charles Thomas Dover II "Chip" of Seneca, SC, six grandchil- dren, Joseph Costner, Emma Costner, Sadie Carpenter, Ava Dover, Zoe Dover, and Charlie Dover, a special broth- er in law, Clyde Humphries, and his two nephews, Eddie and Ronnie Humphries. Born on October 28, 1953 in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Thomas Ralph Dover and Vera Simmons Dover, Tommy was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Humphries. Tommy was a longtime member of Zoar Baptist Church where he was proud to serve as a Deacon. Mr. Dover worked at Bahnson Service Company for over 45 years. Tommy was a devoted family man and enjoyed spoil- ing his grandchildren with chocolate and Mountain Dew. A private family grave- side service will be held with immediate family with a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
