ENTERTAINMENT EXTRA 3 By Rachel Jones TV Media Phone a Friend: Do you have your final answer ready? The prime-time 20th anniversary revival of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" airs Wednesday, April 8, on ABC, and it's hosted by none other than ABC's late- night star, Jimmy Kimmel ("Jimmy Kimmel Live!"). It's a well-known fact that Kimmel has some very famous friends (Jon Krasinski and wife Emily Blunt, for example — but certainly not that horrible Matt Damon character), so this revival is right up his alley. The show puts celebrity contestants in the hot seat as they try to win the $1-million prize for the charity of their choice. The show originated in the U.K. in 1998 and made its way to the U.S. only a year later. The American version starred Regis Philbin ("The Morning Show") and ran for four years on ABC. Even after it ended, the network turned out several seasons of syndicated versions of the show, with hosts including Meredith Vieira ("The View") and Terry Crews ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine"). A large part of its popularity stemmed from the fact that it was the largest cash prize of any network game show before it, but it was the ever-increasing difficulty of the questions and the drama that accompanied them that really reeled people in. The show allowed contestants to ask for help using "lifelines" when they didn't know an answer: "Phone a Friend" and "Ask the Audience" allowed them to call back home or ask audience opinion, while "50/50" narrowed down their choices. Kimmel's celebrity version is a little different. In this special, the celebrities are allowed to invite their own guest to sit with them as they try to answer the difficult questions, and that guest could be anyone. Tune in to find out which famous faces will appear in the 20th anniversary revival of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," pre- miering Wednesday, April 8, on ABC. Fighting for Freedom: "Social justice warrior" was the last thing the media ever expect- ed to call Kim Kardashian West, but here we are. Her new show, "Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project" premieres Sunday, April 5, on Oxygen. While her claim to fame in the past has involved style and scan- dal, the middle child of the Kardashian clan is trying to change her image. She announced in 2019 that she is working towards becoming a lawyer, following in the footsteps of her father, Robert, who defended O.J. Simpson in 1995. Since marrying rapper Kanye West in 2014, Kim has become the mother of four. It's clear she has been changing her focus, maybe trying to make the world a better place for her children. But Kim is not waiting until she passes the bar to start trying to make a difference. In "The Justice Project," Kim goes on a hunt to help prisoners she believes are serving unjust sen- tences. The documentary fea- tures Kim interviewing inmates who have asked her for help and researching their cases. But Kim seems to be going a step further than most attorneys. She is look- ing at what their lives were like before their crimes and trying to understand the difficult back- grounds that led to their deci- sions. She is fighting for the release of prisoners she believes deserve a second chance. Her search for criminal justice reform has even led her to the Whitehouse, where she advocat- ed for the release of three female inmates in 2018. To hear more about Kim's fight for change, tune in to "Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project" on Sunday, April 5, on Oxygen. Bella Babies: Twin sisters Brie and Nikki Bella have more than just their looks in common. The fifth season of their show, "Total Bellas," premieres Thursday, April 9, on E! The sisters are retired profes- sional wrestlers. Both of them fought under World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), each win- ning the title of WWE Divas Champion. Now, the two sisters have settled down, but their lives are still filled with plenty of drama. They both appeared in the reality show "Total Divas," which gave us a close-up look at the lives of women in the WWE. But their popularity earned the sisters their own spinoff show in 2016. Newly engaged Nikki is loving life with her fiancé, Artem Chigvintsev, a Russian-American professional dancer. The couple announced her pregnancy earlier this year. Meanwhile, Brie is married to pro wrestler Daniel Bryan, and the two have one child together. Unfortunately, Brie and Daniel's relationship isn't so hot right now. The two are having trouble connecting, and this sea- son Brie admits that she doesn't want any more kids, which is very difficult for Daniel to accept. But an unexpected change leaves Brie wondering if she could, in fact, already be pregnant. This season is full of surprises for the twins, and you can tune in to E! on Thursday, April 9, to follow along with the Season 5 premiere of "Total Bellas."
