The Clamdigger's Daughter
Judy Stach remembers the days she spent as a
child in her grandfather's boat building shed
along the Navesink River. As curls of wood piled
up, Judy would amuse herself by sketching the
boats. Today, as a nationally recognized oil paint-
er, some of her most impressive works still feature
boats and seascapes. "I'm drawn to the water,"
she admits.
