He represents governmental agencies on the design and implementation of linear and vertical projects and private owners and contractors building large resorts. He gilbert also serves as outside general counsel for XpressWest, the high-speed train project that aims to connect Las Vegas and Southern California. Bill Yearout has joined the health care division of the Korte Company. He has more than 17 years of experience in the construction industry, including 15 dedicated to senior living and 11 to the health care industry. Yearout has an engineering degree from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. yearout Dr. Mary Ann Allison, a medical oncologist and founding member of the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, received the 2013 Commitment to Health Award from the United Way of Southern Nevada's Women's Leadership Council. Joel Wallis was promoted to senior vice president of operations at the Penta Building Group. He joined the company in 2002 as a project manager. He most recently served as the company's vice president of operations. Wallis graduated with a degree in construction management from Chico State University. Clinton Pope, of CBP Strategies, joined the Las Vegas Green Chamber of Commerce. John Delikanakis, a partner at Snell & Wilmer, joined the Board of Trustees for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, Southern Nevada's economic development agency (formerly known as the Nevada Development Authority.) Delikanakis focuses his law practice on complex business litigation, appellate law, real estate law and international law. wallis delikanakis Chris Lexis and Joe Leavitt joined Avison Young, a real estate company. Both have sold and leased land and industrial properties since 2004. Lexis and Leavitt previously were vice presidents, shareholders and partners in the Las Vegas office of Lee and Associates. Colliers International — Las Vegas launched a valuation and advisory services group. Led by Joshua Smith, the group will advise clients on property fundamentals, competitors, and market dynamics for investors, lenders and owners. Ellen Schulhofer and Adam Agron will become co-managing partners at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck on June 1. Bruce James will return to practicing law with the firm after agron schulhofer 10 years serving as managing partner. Schulhofer and Agron will maintain active law practices. Stephanie Dibbs is a sales executive at Trump International Hotel. She has more than 14 years of experience in real estate management, sales and administration. Gilma Andersen and Brooke Brown joined Windermere Prestige Properties as sales associates. Anderson has more than 20 years of real estate and property management experience and andersen brown previously served as a sales associate for Wardley Real Estate. Brown was the lead dancer in "Jubilee!" at Bally's. She graduated manga cum laude from UNLV with a bachelor's degree in economics. Pearl Gallagher, an attorney at Lionel Sawyer & Collins since 2005, was named a shareholder at the firm. Gallagher focuses on real estate and transactional matters and complex corporate acquisitions. Ray Germain was promoted to senior associate at Marcus and Millichap Real gallagher Estate Investment Services. He specializes in multi-tenant retail and singletenant net-leased investments nationwide and is a member of the special assets group. Sam Lieberman is a government and community affairs specialist at Easter Seals Nevada, which serves more than 8,000 Nevadans living with disabilities. O'Halloran dibbs focuses on personal injury litigation and immigration. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Portland in 2002 and her law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV in 2012. Hutchings focuses on personal injury, criminal defense and family law. He graduated from Clark High School and earned his bachelor's degree from UNLV in 2004 and his law degree from the Boyd School of Law in 2012. Nancy Heimerle is an associate attorney with Hutchison & Steffen. She focuses on business litigation and family law. She previously was staff attorney for the Children's Attorneys Project of Clark County Legal Services. Heimerle received her bachelor's degree from UNR and her juris doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. Kayli Barker is student spokeswoman at Project 150, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping homeless, displaced and disadvantaged students at 15 high schools in Southern Nevada. Barker, 15, will help raise awareness among her peers about the help available. Attorneys Benjamin Auten and Kristin Gifford have joined the law firm of Marquis Aurbach Coffing. Auten practices general civil litigation and received a bachelor of science in sociology with an area of concentration in politics and social movements from the University of Oregon. Gifford practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, and guardianships. She obtained her bachelor of science degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from California State University, Fresno, where she graduated summa cum laude. Southern Nevada's first barre3 studio opened in the District at Green Valley Ranch, adjacent to Whole Foods. Barre3 offers a three-step, 60-minute workout program that combines ballet, yoga and Pilates techniques. Jackie Edlund founded the studio. Guns and Ammo Garage earned the first National Shooting Sports Foundation five-star rating for a commercial shooting range in Las Vegas. The NSSF rating system judges facilities on appearance, management, customer focus, community relations and amenities. Only 28 ranges nationally have earned five-star ratings. Wynn Resorts was the highest-ranking Las Vegas casino company on Fortune's "2013 Most Admired" list in the hotel, casino and resort category. It was listed No. 5. Fortune works with executives and analysts to rate companies in their own industries on criteria that include global competitiveness and social responsibility. JCM Global's Dynamic Network Applications was named in Casino Journal's 16th annual "Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products Awards." Cox Las Vegas increased Internet speed for its most popular broadband tiers, tripling speeds for Cox High Speed Internet to 150 Mbps. Cox Business Internet from Cox Business also increased speeds and added two new tiers of service, including a 100 Mbps tier for commercial customers. heimerle Rita Vaswani, vice president and professional banking relationship manager at Nevada State Bank, received the Pioneer Award at the 2013 Women's Hall of Fame event sponsored by the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada. Leadership inductees were: Kristin McMillan, Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce; Ana Marie Mormando, Bellagio; Valerie Parker, VP Marketing; Leslie Parraguirre, Colours Inc.; and Diane Smith, Nathan Adelson Hospice. Dustin Sisney and Ahmelia Primm joined Virgen Inc., a marketing, public relations and creative arts firm. Sisney has almost 15 years of experience in business development, sales and closing. He graduated from Missouri Southern State University. Primm has seven years of experience in advertising. She is a UNLV graduate. Dena Del Balzo is a home loan manager at Bank of America. She is part of a nationwide team assigned to helping homebuyers and homeowners with their financing needs. The University of Phoenix Las Vegas campus will open a new location on Breakthrough Way, off the 215 Beltway. The campus includes 19 classrooms and a teacher resource center. Cashman Equipment became a legacy Bucyrus Mining Products dealership. The deal will allow Cashman to provide mining customers with the products they need to be competitive in the industry. HealthCare Partners Nevada, a physician-run network of primary, specialty and urgent care providers, acquired Las Vegas Solari Hospice Care. HealthCare Partners and Solari Hospice Care will continue to operate independently, with Solari retaining its name, branding and 130 employees. Although Solari also provides hospice care in Houston, the deal was limited to the company's Las Vegas division. MEET Las Vegas, an event and meeting venue, was named the "2013 Event Site of the Year" by Event Solutions.
