W
elcome to the annual Santa Cruz Sentinel Readers Choice, where
the readers of the Sentinel let us know who they think are the
best in our county!
Each year in this column, I ask for your feedback on the categories. What
should we add for next year? In recent years, the new categories we had
added like food truck and bartender proved to be quite competitive!
Tara Fatemi Walker did some great stories this time too on not only the
best new places to dine, but she also did some digging into the winners
for some of the pet categories. Finally, thinking about being healthy for the
new year, she did some follow up with our Dance winners as well as the
Acupuncture category.
While we're naming folks who contributed to this product, a big thanks
to Greg Borrego on our staff, who did a fantastic job with design and layout!
When you put out a newspaper seven days a week and have deadlines
every single day, you don't always have time to be as creative as you would
like with design… but Greg did a stellar job here.
So what about next year? Best Summer Camp? Home Staging company?
Best Salsa?
Send me your thoughts sol I can get them in the mix for when voting
starts later this year.
Once again congratulations to all of our winners this year! Be sure to
patronize them in 2020 if you haven't already and we look forward to
hearing from you in the future.
Thanks for reading…and voting!
Cheers!
