As we've packed away our winter coats and put those snowblowers back in the garage, you might find that a little change can do you good. Jen Simmons, owner of Ambiance Salon, located at 145 E. Wisconsin Ave. in Oconomowoc, said that while there will be some new styles rolling out this year, one of the hottest looks actually be a more classic style. "The bob hairstyle is definitely 'in' again, which women can do with or without bangs. Even longer, shoulderlength layered bobs are going to be a trend that we'll be seeing too – which again, is a style that can be done with or without bangs," Simmons said. "Super long hair is still very popular too, especially if it's more of 'beachy' style – which is having those kind of soft wave style to it." Simmons added that achieving these trendy styles isn't difficult. She described the popular "messy bun" look as an easy, yet fashionable look for women this spring. "For the messy bun, just put the hair through a ponytail holder – like you would with a regular bun – but only pull it halfway through it, then pin the rest of the hair up," she explained. Men, on the other hand, might be taking a blast from the past when it comes to their hairstyles for the warmer months. "With men's hair, the pompadour hairstyle – which is hair that is short on the sides, longer on the top and then combed back – will be really popular this season," Simmons said.
