Conan: Conan O'Brien McDonald's has introduced a yolk-free Egg McMuffin that has only 260 calories. After hearing this, every McDonald's customer said, "Sweet! I'll have six of them." The Tonight Show: Jay Leno A judge overturned Mayor Bloomberg's ban on large sugary drinks. The judge made his decision after testimony from a prominent physician -I believe it was a Dr. Pepper, if I'm not mistaken. McDonald's announced they are dropping its fruit and walnut salad from the menu. The two people who go to McDonald's for fruit and walnuts are really upset about this! Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update With Seth Meyers A man in Maine was surprised when he found a knife inside his two-year-old son's Elmo birthday cake. And a man in jail was disappointed to get a cake that was just Elmo. The 'Daily' Oliver: One of late night TV's most familiar faces isn't going to be seen "daily" for a little while. In fact, he isn't going to be seen at all. Jon Stewart, the longtime host of Comedy Central's hit "The Daily Show," will be taking a leave of absence from the humorous current events program this summer to pursue a second career as a big-screen director. But fans of the show, which features Stewart and a group of "reporters" who take a comedic look at the day's news events, shouldn't despair. Longtime writer and on-screen correspondent John Oliver will be keeping Stewart's hosting seat warm during the star's absence, and if anyone has the feet to fill Stewart's big shoes, it's Oliver. Since joining "The Daily Show" in 2006, Oliver's become one of the show's most popular reporters, tackling stories that most "real" reporters can only dream about. Not only has he covered common-interest stories, such as the World Cup in South Africa, but the funnyman's also hosted one-onone interviews with some political heavy hitters -- including United Nations ambassadors -- always with his tongue in cheek. Behind the scenes of the program, his writing has brought him critical acclaim, netting nominations for both Writers Guild and Emmy awards. Friends across the pond: It pond are finally setting up shop in North America. Fox is moving ahead with a pilot for "Friends and Family" -- an Americanized remake of the BBC comedy "Gavin and Stacey" -- and they've got some pretty good talent signed up for the project. "Friends and Family," like its British predecessor, follows the lives of a pair of very different lovers as they try to make a long-distance relationship work. Along the way, they're helped by a support group composed of their friends and family. Jason Ritter has been cast in the role of Gavin, and Alexis Bledel will play his far-off lover, Stacey. Ritter, the son of the late actor/comedian John Ritter ("8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter"), currently holds a recurring role in NBC's "Parenthood," and also held down starring roles in "Joan of Arcadia" and "The Event." Bledel's talents have been put to work on both the big and small screen, but her starring role in The WB's hit "The Gilmore Girls" was probably her biggest claim to fame. On the big screen, she's put her acting talents to work in both "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" (2005) and its 2008 sequel. Besides Ritter and Bledel, other names have been gradually announced as they've signed on to the project. Funnywoman Kerri Kenny ("Reno 911!") has joined the cast as Stacey's simple and down-to-earth mother, while Kurt Fuller ("Psych") will play Gavin's dad.
