Performing Arts Follies 2013 The Performing Arts Follies SilverArts Talent Showcase for seniors age 55 and better was held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center at 6:00 p.m. This year, a total of 16 acts participated in the categories of Vocal Solo, Vocal – Small Group, Comedy/Drama, Dance Solo, Dance – Small Group, Zumba Gold Fitness dancers, Line Dancing groups and for the very first time an Instrumental Large group featuring the Hand Bell Choir of New Hope Baptist Church in Earl, N.C. The following individuals placed in these categories: Dance- Solo Performance 1st Place – Joyce Parrish 2nd Place – Gary Hollifield Vocal Solo Performance 1st Place – Gary Hollifield 2nd Place – Debra Charles 3rd Place – Ray Wilson Dance Small Group Performance 1st Place - Jerry and Sandra Marlow Vocal – Small Group 1st Place – Harmony of Hope Performing Arts Follies Ray Wilson - Vocal Solo Performance - Competitive Performing Arts Follies Sherrill Jenkins Comedy/Drama Solo Performance. Comedy/Drama Solo Performance 2013 Best In Show Winner Gary Hollifield 1st Place – Sherrill Jenkins The 2013 Best In Show Winner, Mr. Gary Hollifield will be eligible to perform as a State Finalist in Raleigh. This year's show included a lot of variety, great singing, dancing, and comedy skits that kept the audience laughing! Sterling House of Shelby sponsored this year's SilverArtists Reception and Performing Arts Follies by providing refreshments.
