" A M a g i c a l C i r q u e Christmas" brings all the thrills of a circus, plus a festive atmosphere, to the Peabody Auditorium on Wednesday. Host John Archer will anchor the show, guid- ing guests from one act to the next with a sense of humor. The comic magician reached the semifinals in "Britain's Got Talent" this year and has been an international entertainer for 17 years. Belting out the holiday tunes is Therese Cura- tolo, whose voice has a place on opera stages as well as radio stations. She sings again with "A Magical Cirque Christ- mas" after the inaugural tour in 2018. T h e m u s i c s e t s t h e m o o d f o r a l i n e u p o f circus acts. Performances include Oleksiy "Alex" Mruz, o f U k r a i n e , w h o w i l l balance on an always- moving surface while doing a variety of tricks; world-champion diabolo juggler Yusaku "Mochi" Mochizuki, originally from Japan and former contestant on "Amer- ica's Got Talent"; duo t r a p e z e a r t i s t s V i r - ginie Gerbeau and ZoƩ Sanscartier; circus vet- erans Sergei Kozakov and Anastasiia Niukina, who will test their strength, flexibility and acrobatic skills on the duo straps and duo adagio; foot jug- glers Ray Rodrigues and H e n r y G r e e n ; d a n c e r Rachel Salzman on the Cyr wheel; fast-paced juggler Eduardo Garza; and the flexible Anas- tasiia Mazur, who will b a l a n c e o n t w o t h i n canes in a gymnastics performance. T h e C i r q u e i s p r o - duced by MagicSpace Entertainment, produc- ers of Broadway hit "The Illusionists." The second annual show is touring throughout the U.S. with one stop in Canada.
