Bell- Carter is the largest table olive producer in the United States and is the second largest producer in the world. One of the largest employers in Tehama County, the company processes over 40,000-60,000 tons of olives each year. In Tehama County, table olives were the third highest value of agricultural crops in 2017 bringing in $39,273,200. There are over 4,500 acres of table olives in Tehama County, most of which are in the Corning area. That is a significant share of California's 30,000 olive acreage.
