Procras na on has been and probably will con- nue to be the bane of a lot of people's existence, (myself included...) No ma er what point of our lives we are in, we always seem to be pu ng off things we should be taking care of the now. I have had my friends tell me they tend to get some degree of anxiety about things they have put off for so long that when they get it done, they kick theirselves for the short amount of me the task actually took! It's definitely very easy to fall into that habit, but don't let it get the be er of you! Don't let it win; I know some mes there are days where we really can't face it, but think of the posi ves when you do finally get it done. Here are some ps to avoid some of that procras- na on! 1.) Create a Schedule: Some mes this helps me when I find myself procras na ng because of me management . 2.) Se ng a Dead- line: This can defi- nitely help if this is a struggle for a long-term task. 3.) Distrac ons: AKA--- Social me- dia! This is the big- gest me suck! I find myself scroll- ing so much on ins- tagram that my day actually goes by. Be careful of that! 4.) Take me for yourself: This is important, you have to make sure your needs are being met, too. 5.) Be realis c: If, let's say for sake of argument, you're wri ng a novel. Ge ng inspira on or writ- ing 1 or two chapters a week is a realis c goal! Expec ng to se le everything about your novel in a couple days? Not so much of a realis c goal!
