Real Stories. WOMAN North Bay At the photo shoot! H oliday tips, animal prints, sweet treats and speaking up are just a few of the subjects covered in this fall – holiday – winter issue. Glamour girls, caviar royalty, mentoring gifts, welcoming guests, trusted advisers, contributing experts and joyful adventures round out all of our topics. Our team works really hard to bring you timely reads, new ideas, and inspiration, and this issue is packed with all that and more. Helping us out is our newly crowned North Bay Woman Advisory Team. This eclectic group is excited to nurture, guide and propel NBW in new directions with fresh ideas. Please read about the stellar women who make up the team. In addition, we are always open to reader comments and suggestions. You can send them directly to me at lpearce@marinij.com. I look forward to hearing from you. One of my favorite shares comes from Steve Fox, CFO at EO Products, especially as I was able to hear his original address. At its core, it's a reminder that our actions have consequences, and that we are all infl uencers. Whether it be to our children, our friends, our colleagues — we make a difference. Whether it's conscious or not, we are guiding and shaping those with whom we interact. Let's use this infl uence to make sure we are a force for good, positivity and happiness, honesty and growth. This issue celebrates many women who have followed their passion and are living their best life. It's absolutely lovely that it comes with so much variety. From chee- semongers, to stylists, to photographers, to designers, to jewelry makers, to a caviar afi cionado, to a television anchor. They are each working hard yet hardly working as they have their dream job. They are truly role models for us all. Our refl ection on miscarriage will likely pull at your heartstrings. Yes, it is anguishing. However, in sharing, these women fi nd some solace, and it is their hope to open the conversation. Hopefully it will be easier for the next woman who fi nds herself suffering to be able to open up and talk about it. I commend them on their bravery. Pour yourself a glass of wine or cup of tea, grab your favorite cozy throw, settle in, and enjoy this impactful issue. Cheers, Lori Stylist Lauren Huntley set up her makeup supplies and styling tools in cover feature subject Pam Cook's dining room. Hair styling was performed by Cook's stylist, Kaz Begley, owner of "Hairfax Studio" in Fairfax. Cook's dog Mo was the offi cial greeter during the morning photo shoot. – Photos by Stuart Lirette North Bay Woman Advertising Manager Lori Pearce and stylist Lauren Huntley at the Pam Cook photo shoot.
