• Take the pumpkins that you didn't carve, paint them
white, stack up three, and a few embellishments and
you've got a snowman!
• Reuse wine bottles to serve water, and add rosemary
sprigs and cranberries for a festive touch. Clear bottles
or ones with fancy labels make especially nice water
decanters.
• Scrap the chip and dip table and replace with a soup
bar. Serve comfort faves like chicken noodle or vege-
table beef in coffee mugs, and pair nouveau styles like
quinoa corn chowder and crab bisque with teacups.

powder, shape into a

crackers. Go extra by

comes to holiday decorating. Old chachkies and natu-
ral elements suddenly become beautiful holiday décor
when given a coat of glitter paint.

vases. Stick to a color theme
for more umph, and tie coor-
dinating ribbons around the
vases.
• No boring cookie exchanges
here. How about a Craft-Cock-
tail exchange? Use small Ma-
son or jelly jars for your drinks
and make sure to bring plenty
of recipe cards to share. n
