Mrs. Hord was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Mary Alston Keeter; her husband, David Fletcher Hord, Jr.; and her sister, Kathryn Jo Keeter Madison. She is survived by five children: Mary Jo Whitley (Stan) of Winston-Salem, Barbara Fulton (Corky) of Kings Mountain, David Hord (Bonnie) of Salisbury, Nancy Bunch (Ed) of Asheboro, and Anne Gamble (Johnny) of Kings Mountain; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great- grandchildren; and her broth- er-in-law, Randolph Madison, of Petersburg, VA. A Memorial Service was held at Kings Mountain Baptist Church. Interment was at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC. SAMUEL EUGENE LEE Samuel Eugene Lee, 69 of Shelby, NC, passed away on September 11, 2019. He was a son of the late Franklin Eugene Lee and Sibyl Cathleen Turner Lee. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Lisa Brackett Lee; three sons, Sammy Lee and wife, Sherrie of Fredericksburg, VA, Derek Lee of Lawndale and Brandon Lee and wife, Stacy of Charlotte; two step- Mr. Moore was the son of the late Clyde Tillman Moore Sr. and Ruby Humphries Moore and was preceded in death by a brother, Clement Moore. Poston, age 89, of Shelby, NC, passed away on September 11, 2019. He was the son of the late Samuel J. Poston and Alma Ruth Hudspeth Poston. Mr. Poston served our country in the US Navy and served four years during the Korean Conflict. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Bridges Poston. He is survived by two daughters: Lou Ann Poston Scates and husband, Doug, and Lydia Poston Sherman and husband, Bill of Boiling Springs; and two grandsons. Memorials may be made to Boiling Springs ROBERT LEE SISK Robert Lee Sisk, 55, of Blacksburg, SC, passed away on September 11, 2019. He was the son of Diane Sisk Cooper and the late Emmanuel Spake. In addition to his moth- er, Mr. Sisk is survived by his long time companion, Tammy Budd; four children, Alice Lopez and husband, Elias, Stephenie Messer and husband, Clarence Messer Jr, Stephen Sisk Sr., and Kimberly Sisk; two sisters, Evelyn Stephens and hus- band, Terry, and Barbara Strickland and husband, Greg; and thirteen grandchil- dren. The Blacksburg location of Gordon Mortuary is serving the family. LENELL SPIKES MINTZ Mrs. Lenell Spikes Mintz went home to be with the Lord on September 5, 2019. She was born on September 28, 1923 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Anderson and Janie Hunt Spikes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Mintz; four sons, Dwayne Spikes, John Spikes, Randy Spikes and Walter Clark; brothers, Lester Hunt, Billy Spikes, J.D. Spikes, Jack Spikes, Paul Spikes, Murrell Spikes, Till Spikes and Charles Spikes; two sisters, Oveida Whitworth and Pauline Spikes and three granddaughters. Mrs. Mintz is survived by her children, Willie Mae Poston of Lawndale, NC, Diana Bell (Ernest) of Shelby, Dorothy Leach of Boiling Springs, NC and Warren Spikes (Sherry) of Shelby; one sister, Margaret Hoey (James) of Shelby; children whom she gained, Joyce Evans of Grover, NC, Gene Mintz of Shelby, Harold Mintz (Eunice) of Kingstown, NC, Charles Mintz and Kenneth Mintz (deceased); daughters- in-law, Syrvilla Spikes and Barbara Spikes; sisters-in- law, Sarah Spikes, Carolyn Spikes and Lillie Mae Hunt all of Shelby; and thirty grand- children and a host of great and great-great grandchil- dren.
