PHYLLIS IRENE SHEDD Phyllis Irene Shedd, 69, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 31, 2019. She was born to the late Leonard Earnest Shedd Sr. and Ruby Elizabeth Booher Shedd and was preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard Shedd Jr. and Bobby Richardson. Ms. Shed is survived by her Partner, Gloria Byrd, of the home. No service is planned at this time. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kings Mountain, NC is serving the family. PAUL "GENE" CLARK Paul "Gene" Clark, age 91, of Shelby, NC, passed away on September 4, 2019. He was the son of the late Henry and Florrie Clark. Mr. Clark served our coun- try in the U.S. Navy at the end of WWII. In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his wife, Helen "Beth" Clark; and four brothers, Henry Clark, Bernard Clark, Phillip Clark and Franscanna Clark. the late Harry Lee and Vinnie Viola Strange Hudson. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Hudson is survived by two sisters, Linda Andrew of Shelby and Peggy Ricker of Charleston. Jackie "Fatman" Moss Jr., 32, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on September 3, 2019. He is the son of Jackie Moss Sr., and Faye Mathis Moss of Kings Mountain. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Caleb and Jaxon Moss; daughter, Kalie Moss, all of Kings Mountain; sisters, Crystal Russ of Blacksburg and Tasha Moss of Kings Mountain; brothers, Jackie Wayne Russ and T.J. Moss and wife Allie, both of Kings Mountain; and the mother of his children, Kim "Sissy" Williams. Funeral services were held at Sun Rise Baptist Church. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery. She was a daughter of the late Dores Wilbur Conner and Mary Rozelle Ledford Conner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Wayne Lovelace and two brothers, Jerry and George Conner. Mrs. Lovelace is survived by her son, John Lovelace and wife, Andrea of Casar; a brother, Jack Conner of Kings Mountain and two sis- ters, Martha Costner and Sarah Conner both of Kings Mountain. RICHARD HAL WARREN Richard Hal Warren, 63, Vale, NC, passed away on September 3, 2019. He was a son of the late Fate Alvin Warren, Sr. and Margaret Lueva Bowen Warren. She was the daughter of the late Joe C. Moree and Nora Blackman Moree. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Leon Rivers. Mrs. Rivers is survived by two sons Tim Rivers (Melody) and Jack Jordan (Mike); one daughter, Cindy Neason (Doyle); six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was born to the late Walter and Bertha Allison Booth. Mr. Booth served our country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was pre- ceded in death by a sister, Marcella Gamble. He is survived by his chil- dren, Farrion Daniels (Alonzo) of Shelby, Eric Smith (Kathy) of Gloucester, NJ and Donald Smith also of NJ; his special companion of many years, Katherine Guest of the home; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
