September 3rd Shelby Gymnastics Fall Classes Fall classes begin on Tuesday, September 3rd at Shelby City Park. September 7th Football Jamboree at Crest High School Shelby Lions begin their new season in the Cleveland County Youth Football League. Mighty Mites play Boiling Springs at 9:30AM, Pee Wees play Boiling Springs at 11:30AM and Midgets play Boiling Springs at 1:30PM. September 12th Movie Night at the "Carrousel" Festivities begin at 7:00PM and the Movie will begin around 8:15PM. Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy the movie. Movie Showing will be released by next Friday. Movie Night also includes concessions and Carrousel and Train rides. Call Tommy Forney at 704 484-6476. September 21st Shelby Lions Home Football Game Shelby Lions host Shelby Panthers at Shelby High School with the Mighty Mites game at 11:00AM followed by Pee Wees at 12:00PM and the Midgets vs Shelby Panthers at 1:00PM. October 13th 7th Annual "Friends of the Parks" Golf Tournament The Friends of the Parks will hold their 7th Annual Benefi t Golf Tournament at Royster Memorial Golf Course on Satur- day, October 13th. Shotgun Start at 8:15AM. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Teams. The format is Captain's Choice. Entry Fee is $40 and includes lunch. All Sponsors and players receive lunch. October 28th Greater Cleveland County Baptist Association's "Greatest Treat Festival" Fun, Food, Candy and Games highlight this event from 4PM til 6PM on Sunday, October 28th.
