He was the son of David Withers Cardwell Jr. and wife, Beverly of Shelby and Suzanne Lucille Bush and husband, Tom Chance of Alabama. Mr. Cardwell was pre- ceded in death by a brother, Christian Cardwell. In addition to his parents and step parents, he is sur- vived by a brother, David Withers Cardwell III and wife, Michelle of Bakersville CA. MARGARET BEHELER JAY Margaret Beheler Jay, age 93, of Shelby, NC, passed away on August 7, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Eddie Richard Beheler and Millie Dorothy Lee Beheler. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence David Jay, Sr.; her son, Clarence David Jay, Jr.; one brother, John William "Bill" Beheler; and one sister, Jeanette Beheler Simmons. Mrs. Jay is survived by her daughter, Patricia "Patty" Philbeck and hus- band, Michael "Mike" Philbeck of Shelby, NC; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: Broad River Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 2262 Shelby, NC 28051. JEFFERY LOUIS NAUDITT Jeffery Louis Nauditt, 64, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on July 29, 2019. He was born to the late John and Jacqueline Clark Nauditt in Spokane, WA. Mr. Nauditt is survived by his wife, Lisa Nauditt; sons, Louis Nauditt (Meg Nauditt), Sam Nauditt and Jay Nauditt; daughters, Patrisha Nauditt Ramsey (Ryan Ramsey) and Jen Shehata (Peter Shehata); brother, Pete Nauditt (Sandra Nauditt); sis- ter, Penny Crum (Al Crum); and six grandchildren. Mr. Nauditt served our country in the U.S. Navy. A Graveside Service was held in the Veterans Flag Section at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC.
