The overtures from leadership of both organizations is an important step in the vitality of the two groups, both of which have come in doubt in the past year amid a dispute concerning management, custodial operations, facility improvements and other similar issues at the lakefront property both entities share. Former state Supreme Court Justice Janine Geske oversaw mediation between the two parties. As part of the agreement, each organization will have control over designated spaces of the lakefront complex, which is owned by the county and leased to the two groups.
