Tues- day morning women's Bible study at the fellowship hall 10 a.m. There was a circus owner who was walking down the street in a tourist district and saw a crowd of people around a table watching a show. On the table was a pot turned upside down and a duck tap dancing on it. The circus own- er was so impressed that he offered to buy the duck from its owner. A fter some hag- gling, the owner agreed to sell the duck and the pot for $10,000. A couple of days later, the circus owner returned to the owner. "Your duck is a rip- off," he said angrily. "I put him on the pot in front of a big au- dience and he didn't dance a single step." "Well," asked the duck's for- mer owner, "did you remem- ber to light the candle under the pot? " I remember when I was a little girl, This Little Light of Mine was one of my favorite songs I learned at church. This may be one of the first verses you learned in Sunday school. No doubt you sang this song: "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine." Jesus said that we (His disci- ples) are the light of the world. We must not hide that light un- der a pot, like the duck owner did. We must let it shine. How will people see that light, but through our good works. We invite all of you to come and worship with us.
