C-2 Church Wednesday, July 24, 2019 The Press-Dispatch Continued from page 1 "We must protect the un- protected, care for the un- cared for, and speak for the voiceless. We must give all animals a chance to live a good life"—AD Williams. This week, PAWS is seeking homes for the many, many kittens that PAWS is trying to save. It has been a difficult sum- mer and everyday PAWS has to turn down litters of kittens because the cat room is already overpopu- lated. Currently, there are 15 kittens needing homes and many more adult cats. PAWS is featuring Bob and Betty this week as two adorable felines need- ing homes. Bob had a mis- hap with his tail, which had to be amputated. Thus, the name Bob, as he is now a bob-tail. Betty is a sweet, fuzzy, tiger-striped kitten with gorgeous aqua-colored eyes. They would love to be adopted together as they are quite bonded to one another. If you can give a cat or kitten a home, call PAWS at 812-354-9894. What an amazing and powerful service we had again this past Sunday. God is so good. To him that soweth righ- teousness shall be a sure re- ward. A fter a long time the lord of those servants co- meth, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had re- ceived five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliv- eredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained be- side them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faith- ful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou in- to the joy of thy lord. We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: hence- forth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righ- teous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free and join us for services. I am sure you will leave be- ing blessed. Without go- ing into too much detail, at the climax of the movie the main character, Coach Taylor looked at a crowded locker room of tired high school football players and asked the question "what is impossible with God? " The idea was to hear their answer, nothing. Which is true, we believe that with God everything is possible (Matthew 19:26). This week while preach- ing over the latter half of John 17, the words of Je- sus, or should I say the prayer of Jesus to the Fa- ther right before he is ar- rested the night before his execution, struck me. Je- sus' prayer was very pur- poseful, and Jesus specif- ically prayed that the Fa- ther would make and keep his followers one.
