HOMES PLUS IN BRIEF Tour of Remodeled Homes scheduled for May 18-19 WAUWATOSA – The Milwaukee chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry will sponsor a free panel discussion on "Completing the Remodeling Project." The event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 20 in the Ron Ziglinski Education Center in the Milwaukee/NARI office, 11815 W Dearbourn Ave., Wauwatosa. It will . include a question-and-answer session. The following Milwaukee/NARI members will be part of the panel: ■ Mark Brick, General Contractors Inc., Glendale ■ David Kallie, Dimension Design, Build, Remodel Inc., Brookfield ■ Tom Mainville, Story Hill Renovations LLC, Wauwatosa ■ John Meiners, DG Remodeling, a division of David & Goliath Builders, Pewaukee. The panel discussion will provide information on how contractors go about working with the homeowner on completing the project. Topics to be discussed will include product selection, setting a production schedule – who will be completing the work?, communication between the homeowner and contractor and setting up a payment plan. MILWAUKEE – The 14th annual Milwaukee/NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes, formerly known as the Spring Home Improvement Showcase, will take place May 18 and May 19. The event's theme is "Explore Remodeling's Finest." It is produced by the Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council Inc., and sponsored by Kohler Co., in conjunction with First Supply and Ver Halen, The Pella Window Store. It will allow attendees to view more than 15 recently completed remodeling and home improvement projects from Milwaukee/NARI contractors at homes throughout southeastern Wisconsin. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Admission is $5 in advance and $7 at the door of the projects. Attendees who bring two nonperishable food items to the door of the first project they visit will receive a $2 admission discount, with the food items to be donated to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. Project attendes can also qualify for an opportunity to win a prize package from Kohler Co. valued at more than $1,000.
