Fayetteville, North Carolina - April 12, 2019 - The Mid-Atlantic Newspaper Advertising and Marketing Executives (N.A.M.E.) awarded Timothy O. Dellinger, president of Advantage Newspaper Consultants, its highest individual honor—the Honorary Life Membership Award. The award, reserved for the most inspiring leaders who have proven dedicated to the newspaper industry and whose work furthers the mission of Mid-Atlantic N.A.M.E., was presented during the organization's annual board meeting and sales management conference held April 5 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Tim has been a member of Mid-Atlantic N.A.M.E. for 28 years and Advantage Newspaper Consultants, an advertising sales and consulting company based in Fayetteville, North Carolina, has sponsored the organization's sales conferences for nearly two decades. "The newspaper industry has faced many challenges over the last 20-plus years" says Dellinger. "Trade organizations like Mid-Atlantic N.A.M.E. are instrumental in guiding the us through these changes and give us a connection with other sales managers and marketers to brainstorm, share ideas and find solutions to those challenges. I am very proud to have been a supporter of this organization for all of these years. It's such a valuable resource for our region, and will continue to be as the newspaper industry continues to evolve." Tim is a native of Durham, NC and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing & Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilm- ington. He founded Advantage Newspaper Consultants in 1996 and now employs over 20 full-time employees. Tim has always had a strong belief in the power of newspaper advertising, and continues to be one of the industry's strongest evange- lists. Dee Evans, Division Sales Manager Dee Evans joined Advantage Newspaper Consultants in July of 2016. She has a passion for the newspaper industry, with an eye for identifying opportunities and closing sales. Dee has experience as a Sales Executive and as a Publisher, and knows the importance of the enter- tainment guide campaign. She is skilled at quickly building relationships and gaining the trust of the clients. Dee is honest, energetic, and excited to help your team hit their goals! Prior to joining Advantage Newspaper Consultants, Dee was employed in the newspaper industry for over 18 years. During that time, she held positions as Multi Media Sales Execu- tive, Sales Manager, General Manager, Publisher, and Group Publisher. Dee believes in the power of the newspaper and uses her knowledge and experience to her clients succeed. Dee graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Marketing. She resides in Geneseo, Illinois with her husband Todd and daughter Hannah, who attends Illinois State University. She loves animals, includ- ing her dog Nellie, cats Rascal and William, and a chinchilla named Jack at home! In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
