Have you noticed the latest trend in wine dress?
A
It's a smooth, cool, fashionable can.
Wines in cans have actually been around for awhile, but we've just
started to take notice. It's fi tting that the fi rst in mass production was
Sofi a Blanc de Blancs, which debuted in an elegantly slim pink can
in 2004. (Sofi a wines and sparking wines were born as a gift from
a father, movie mogul turned wine maker Francis Ford
Coppola, to his daughter, Sofi a.) Others have stylishly
followed down the grocery aisle runways.
The Tasting Divas, a group of ladies who meet
monthly to wine taste, tried canned wines at a
recent soiree. To be fair, the cans were
dressed in various homemade crafts so
the brand and varietal were hidden.
The wine was also poured into a
glass to taste. Here, the divas
