For those of you who don't know my story or have not been into the office for a while, I have changed everything--and this is why. My wife, Korie, and I opened our practice back in 2010 and we were very fortunate to get busy quick- ly. However, the chiropractic we learned in school was not working the way it was supposed to. In school, I learned that the nervous system controls every cell, tissue and organ in your body. It is so important that nature surrounded the brain and spinal cord with bones. These bones make up the frame of the human body. When this frame is out of alignment, it can cause the nervous system to not function properly and this dysfunction can lead to pain and different symptoms. Our practice was very busy, and we were supposed to be happy, but I was miserable. Many patients were paying me their hard- earned money and not getting better. I also had a back injury in college that was coming back, and my wife's allergies were coming back as well. I remember sitting with my dad on a dock in Lake Okoboji, IA and I told him was not happy, and that I needed to find a different way to practice. He responded with the very profound words, "Then do it." That was all I needed. I went to technique seminars and long story short, I found NUCCA. It has been about 2 years since I have had all the equipment and training to do NUCCA. It has been a lot of work over the last 7 years, but it is worth it.
