Each day will focus on one of the elements (line, shape, space, value, form, texture,
or color) through the study of artworks in MOWA's collection. Young artists will then
experiment with multiple mediums and tools to create their own works of art.
Chalk Art Camp| Tuesday–Wednesday, July 23–24
Taught by Janet Tombros, a certified Master Street Painter with the Florida Chalk
Artist Association, this camp will teach young artists how to turn sidewalks and
driveways into artistic masterpieces.

Teen Masters | Ages 13–17
Chalk Art Workshop | Thursday, July 25
Taught by Janet Tombros, a certified Master Street Painter with the Florida Chalk
Artist Association, this one day workshop will teach teen artists how to render an
image on a grid, select colors, and use pastel chalk for the greatest impact.
small camera BIG PRINT Workshop | Saturday, August 1
The best camera you have is the one in your hand. Start small and print big! Suzanne
Rose, a nationally recognized photographer, leads this innovative workshop that
combines smartphone photography with large format digital printing. Students will
work individually and collectively on projects both indoors and outdoors, engage
in discussion, and take part in a class project that will be donated to Habitat for
Humanity. An onsite printer enables a full circle digital workflow
and a set of prints for students to take home.

Art and Nature Family Workshop | Saturday, August 17
Learn about artists who were influenced by nature, take a walk through the MOWA
Gardens in full bloom for inspiration, and create an original garden artwork together
