Laura Horvath is spa director, Shawn Granito is associate spa director and Coco Kennedy is director of horvath operations. The three have a combined 35 years of experience with Canyon Ranch. Joseph T. Kozlowski and Talitha Gray Kozlowski were named shareholders at Gordon Silver. Kozlowski practices in the firm's corporate and real estate department; Gray Kozlowski practices in the business restructuring and bankruptcy department. Robyn Mathis and Carol Skerlich have joined Nevada Public Radio as underwriting account executives. Loosvelt practices commercial and civil chapman litigation, with an emphasis on business litigation, as well as intellectual property litigation involving matters such as cybersquatting, trademark infringement, unfair competition and unfair trade practices. kennedy Wendy DiVecchio was promoted to director of operations at the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors, Southern Nevada's largest professional trade organization. DiVecchio has worked for GLVAR for 14 years and previously was its director of education. She now will oversee the daily operations of 36 employees and manage contracts with vendors to help serve the association's almost 11,000 members. skerlich Kelli Vaz was promoted to vice presinylen dent at Service Point, a Las Vegas sales management consulting company. Vaz was Service Point's first employee when it started three years ago. Kendal L. Davis has joined Lionel Sawyer & Collins as an associate in the firm's litigation department. A native Nevadan, Davis received her Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV in 2010. Kelly Glenn was promoted to vice president of account management at the Glenn Group, a marketing communication firm. Glenn leads the statewide account management team. Also, the Glenn Group received a 2012 Tri-State Pinnacle Award in the "Special Events and Observances, under $25,000" category for its work for client Sempra U.S. Gas and Power on "Copper Mountain Solar Hosts President Obama." davis Kevin Favreau is executive director of the First Tee of Southern Nevada, a youth organization that aims to enrich children's lives through golf. Smith, of Applied Renewable Technology; Brian Rakvica, of McGinley and Associates; and Nicole Bell, of KME Architects. The United Way of Southern Nevada has added three board members: Elliot B. Karp, president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas; Dean Elyacoubi, a financial advisor and insurance agent portfolio advisor at Merrill Lynch; and Diana Villanueva, managing director at Citi Global Strategic Execution. Aurelian Marketing Group, a marketing strategy company that developed the Life is Beautiful festival, has named several new staff members: Rakhi Gupta, chief marketing officer; Ashley Goodhue, chief operating officer; Valerie Pro, production manager; Craig Asher Nyman, head of music and live performances; and Jolene Mannina, head of food and beverage. Four companies have joined the Las Vegas Hospitality Association. The companies and their representatives are: Stephanie Echeverry and Rod Fiorito, Continental Interpreting Services; Ed Fioriavante, Gray Line Tours; Jeri Laughlin, LVI Travel; and Jerry Dixon, Visual Art Images. Membership to the LVHA now numbers more than 450. JEG Boxing Inc., a division of the Las Vegas-based Justice Entertainment Group, received approval from the Nevada Athletic Commission to be sanctioned as a boxing promoter. JEG Boxing now can produce its own events, co-present bouts with other promoters and create fight cards for venues, hotels and casinos in Nevada. glenn Melanie Bash has been hired as events director for Easter Seals Nevada. She has served as a member of the International Special Events Society, the Convention Services Association, the American Marketing Association and the Las Vegas Hospitality Association. Bash will direct all fundraising events for the nonprofit organization. Easter Seals, which serves more than 8,000 Nevadans with disabilities annually, also received two grants recently from Cox Charities and the EZCORP Foundation totaling $9,000. Bank of Nevada ranked first last year in SBA 504 dollar lending volume out of 24 lending institutions in Nevada, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration. The bank's ranking was based on 10 loans totaling $18,585,815. The SBA's debenture commitment totaled $12,991,307, bringing the combined commitment to $31,577,122. Tony Cabot, a partner at Lewis and Roca LLP, has been appointed an academic committee member for the Asia Pacific Association for Gambling Studies. Cabot helps clients with gaming law, Internet gambling, sweepstakes and contests. Kathleen Nylen, a principal at PBTK Consulting, has been appointed chairwoman of the Clark County Board of Equalization for a second four-year term. As chairwoman, Nylen conducts hearings for taxpayers who disagree with the assessor as to the taxable value of a property. Eduardo Rozen was named sales manager of Latin America for JCM Global. Bruce Hiller, executive vice president of administrative services for Nevada State Bank, has been appointed to the executive board of directors for the Boy Scouts of America Las Vegas Area Council. Hiller has more than 30 years of banking experience and in addition to overseeing administrative services for Nevada State Bank serves as the security and MountainView Hospital opened the first phase of its new three-story patient tower, which includes a new emergency room, intensive care unit and medical/surgical unit. all with private suites. The tower is approximately 85,000 square feet. Tatyana Designs Inc., which specializes in fashion inspired by Bettie Page, achieved record sales of more than $10 million in 2012. At the end of last year, the company owned 11 Bettie Page Clothing boutiques across the United States. Duvon Corporation, an international technology company based in Las Vegas, will move from private to public beta testing for StoAmigo, its cloud-based media sharing and streaming system. StoAmigo has been in private beta testing since October 2012. The system was designed with media sharing in mind, to give users access to content directly from the cloud. The Nevada Taxicab Authority has been named the Department of Business and Industry's 2012 Agency of the Year. The award recognized the strides the agency made in working toward becoming a model regulatory agency within the state. The Cosmopolitan has been named one of Travel + Leisure's "500 Best Hotels in the World." It also was the highest-rated Las Vegas resort this year. The annual compendium highlights top hotels and resorts from around the world as voted by readers. NEWave, a software supplier to the gaming industry, has signed an agreement with Cantor Gaming to supply software in all of Cantor's Nevada race and sports books. The agreement includes NEWave's Title 31 Manager, TINCheck and OFAC software modules. Four Las Vegas homeowners associations have joined Associa Nevada South: Manzanita Condominiums, a 408-unit condominium community; Lone Mountain Village, a 180-unit single-family home community; Smoke Ranch Villas, a 115-unit condominium community; and Tanglewood, a 273-unit singlefamily home community. ANS provides financial, administrative and management services to homeowners associations. Beanz Coffee Café opened at 4830 Blue Diamond Road, Suite 130. Beanz offers gourmet coffee, hot and iced teas, fruit smoothies, freshly squeezed juices, waffles and an assortment of breakfast, lunch and dessert items. Virgen Inc., a marketing, public relations and creative arts firm, was honored at the 7th annual W3 Awards in the "Awesome Website" category. Burke Construction Group announced the completion of the Cobalt Cheyenne Data Center. The 34,000-square-foot, 5.5-megawatt, multi-tenant data center contains 500 cabinets and supports up to 600 watts per square foot.
