Well, we are happy to announce that she arrived safely on December 11th. During the holidays, my family and I were able to spend some time with my daughter and her family. Of course, little Emmerie was the center of attention. Grandad's joy was holding her for several hours on Christmas day. We came home the next day, with thankfulness in our hearts for God's gift of a new addition to the family. Recently, my heart was grieved after reading a tweet by Franklin Graham. According to Rev. Graham, it is estimated that over 41 million babies were aborted in the world in 2018. Making it the leading cause of death worldwide. Focus on the Family reports that there are over 2,000 babies aborted every day in the United States. Just imagine the hundreds of millions of babies who have never been able to take a breath outside of their mothers' womb. These little ones will never be cuddled by loving arms, they will never know what it means to grow up and experience the joys of living. While there are a multitude of prospective adoptive parents and Christian organizations who would love to provide for their babies, mothers are still choosing to end the life of their precious little ones. These innocent babies deserve to have a voice. We should do all that is possible to uphold the sanctity of life, in and outside of the womb. God reminds us that He hears the cry of each aborted one, "Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents…" Jeremiah 2:34 LANNY FUNCHESS -FUNERAL DIRECTOR- Points To Ponder DEATH OF THE INNOCENT "Quality Service with Compassionate Care" Harrelson Funeral & Cremation Services 1251 U.S. Hwy 221-A, Forest City, NC 828-657-6383 www.harrelsonfuneralhome.com Products and Services We Offer ~ Cemetery Monuments ~ Bronze Plaques ~ Granite Signs ~ Cremation Products ~ Pet Markers ~ Cleaning & Restoration 1113 POLKVILLE ROAD • SHELBY, NC R IVERHIL L MONUMENT CO.
