Margie was a native of Rutherford County, a mem- ber of Crestview Baptist Church, the daughter of the late Garnett A. Grose and Ruth Waldrop Grose; widow of the late Benjamin Dewey Scruggs and mother of the late Randy and Patricia King. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Robert King and wife Avis of Rutherfordton; Ronnie King of Hollis; three grand- children; two great grand- children; step son Doug Scruggs and wife Claudia of Virginia. Graveside services were held at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Crestview Baptist Church Building Fund 630 S. Church St. Forest City, NC 28043. Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family. KATHERINE CRAWFORD MOORE Katherine Crawford Moore, age 90 of Forest City, passed away November 29, 2018. A native of Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Roland Crawford and Cora Jean Sparks Crawford; she was a beloved school teacher with the Rutherford County School system for over 30 years and former Sunday School teacher with the First Baptist Church of Forest City. Katherine was preced- ed in death by her husband, James B. Moore, a daugh- ter, Princa Moore, and a granddaughter. Left to cherish her memory are son, James Moore of Forest City, a daughter, Mary K. Patterson and her husband Ron of Forest City, a sister, Shirley Thomas of Spruce Pine, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Memorial services were held at First Baptist Church of Forest City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
