JERSEY SHORE TOWNS
Red Bank Rhapsody
E
veryone who has visited the Monmouth County town
of Red Bank knows it has a certain feel unlike anywhere
else at the Jersey Shore. Its architecture, people, and energy
are uniquely its own. Photographer Jessica L. Halas has
captured the town's vibe in her beautiful images.
Halas is the owner of Living Stones
Photography in Farmingdale, which,
in addition to her fine art photogra-
phy, specializes in wedding, portrait,
and special event photography.
Halas shoots all of her work from
the heart, stating "I love photograph-
ing the beauty that God has created!"
She began her career in her teens
with a film camera, and eventually
took photography classes at Ocean
County College in Toms River.
Halas was enlisted in the U.S. Navy
for three years as an undesignated
airman. In 1995, she spent some
time taking pictures for the navy in
Rota, Spain, where she gained more
knowledge of film photography.
Eventually, in 2001, she transitioned
to the digital camera. Says Halas,
"I enjoy getting my images instan-
taneously and editing them with
Photoshop and Lightroom."
Halas started her business, Living
Stones Photography, in 2011 and it
has been growing and thriving ever
since. Says Halas, "I absolutely love
running my business and fostering all
the relationships that come from it."
Halas lives with her husband and
three children in Farmingdale.
