As entertainment and viewing methods evolve, so should the name of your weekly TV listings section. More and more people watch "TV" on mobile devices and value the magazine for more than just TV listings - the entertainment content is important as well. CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING… "After hearing about how successful TV tabs had been in some of our other Forum Communications markets, I was still a bit hesitant to try it in RiverTowns. In speaking with some of my other ad directors and Tim Dellinger, I was sold on their success and we started the process of bringing Advantage Newspaper Consultants to our Red Wing/Ellsworth markets as a combined tab. One of the key elements is to gain a strong quantity of pre-set appointments. Once we achieved that goal, we needed a star salesperson from ANC – which we received with Steve Rotar. Together with Steve's expertise and my salespeople's relationships, we were off to the races to achieve and exceed our goal of $85,000. We closed our book with just over $102,000! So, my next thought was what other markets could I use this model in…we started with our Hudson, River Falls and New Richmond markets in Wisconsin as a combined tab. This time we had Deborah Apple join us and again not only achieved our goal of $85,000, we reached just over $106,000! Thanks "Apple"! In both instances, appointments, customer relationships and a strong partner salesperson from ANC are the keys to success. On September 10th, we will go after our third combined TV tab, with the assistance of Steve Rotar in our Hastings, Cottage Grove and Farmington markets to go after another $85,000 in new revenue. Kudos to Dee Evans and her entire team as they come to market to achieve our revenue goals. ANC has a solid sales process and model for success. I hope to reach another $100,000+ tab with our next attempt and then grow those tabs in the years to come. Thank you, Advantage Newspaper Consultants…all of you are fun to work with!"
