Mr. Barber was the son of the late Lawrence and Marie Wilson Barber. Mr. Barber is survived by a son, Scott Barber and daughter, Crystal Deputy. He served our country in the United States Army National Guard. No services are planned at this time. Robert Morgan Funeral and Cremation Service, LLC of Boiling Springs, NC is serving the family. CHRSTINE SICILIA BARR VANCIL Ms. Christine Sicilia Barr Vancil, age 56, of Dallas, NC, went to be with her Savior on August 1, 2018. She was born to Wesley Barr, Sr. and the late Kitty Jean Sicilia Barr. Christine is survived by her three children: daughter, Jennifer Manker (Jorge) of Gastonia; daughter, Christian Manker; and son, Thomas Manker, Jr.; father, Wesley Barr, Sr.; five grandchildren; sister, Betty Phu (Hiep), sister, Robin Stubbs (Wyman); broth- er, Michael Barr; and brother, Joe Barr. A funeral service was held at Cherryville Church of God. Robert Morgan Funeral and Cremation Service, LLC of Boiling Springs, NC is serving the family. Larry Battipaglia of Toms River, NJ; and twelve grand- children and thirteen great grandchildren. The funeral service was held in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel. Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Fallston is serving the family. DAVID C. TRAMMEL Mr. David C. Trammel, age 86, of Forest City, NC passed away on August 11, 2018. Mr. Trammel was the husband of Ann Goode Trammel and the son of the late Edgar and Margie Lee Wright Trammel. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. David was pre- ceded in death by his broth- ers, John and James and his sisters, Hattie Baynard and Annie Haynes. In addition to his wife Ann, he is survived by a son, Phillip Trammel and daughter-in-law, Pam of Rutherfordton. Funeral services were held at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Burial follow in the church cemetery with mili- tary honors. Crowe's Mortuary is serv- ing the family. JAMES ROBERT "BOB" LANE Mr. James Robert "Bob" Lane of Forest City, NC, passed away on August 4, 2018. Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his parents, Harl Forest City, NC 28043. Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family. BOBBY GENE MCSWAIN Mr. Bobby Gene McSwain, age 87, of Shelby, NC, passed away on August 5, 2018. Mr. McSwain was the son of the late Leonard Lafayette and Shirley Shytle McSwain. He is survived by his wife, Alma Greene McSwain; a daughter, Lynn Renfroe and husband, Jimmy of Shelby; four sons, Steve McSwain and wife, Linda of Kings Mountain, Gary McSwain and wife, Wanda of Shelby, Keith McSwain and Marilyn of Kings Mountain, and Alan McSwain and wife, Renee of Kings Mountain; ten grand- children, twelve great grand- children; a brother, Leonard McSwain and wife, Judy Shelby; and a sister, Carolyn Wilson of Lincolnton. Mr. Parks was preceded in death by his parents Robert James and Ruth June Parks of New Jersey. Jim served our country in the United States Air Force. AMELIA ANN BATTIPAGLIA DANIELS Ms. Amelia Ann Battipaglia Daniels, age 83, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 4, 2018. Ms. Daniels preceded in death by her parents, Saveria John Battipaglia and Rosa Marie Rizzo Battipaglia; a daughter, Cheryl Gomez and a grand- daughter. She is survived by three sons, John Daniels of Spartanburg, SC, Bill Daniels of Terrace Homasassa, FL, and Larry Daniels of Nebo; a daughter, Lisa M. Smith of Kings Mountain; a brother, Hull Lane and Leavie Eula Shields Lane; his son, Robert Shannon Lane; brother, Alvin Lane; and sisters, Rachel Lancaster, Mildred Moore and Kathleen Sane. He is survived by three daughters and their spous- es, Melanie Roberts and husband, Bud and Darlene Adkins and husband, Mike, Kimberly Hamond and hus- band, John; and three grand- children and eight great- grandchildren. Services were held at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside. His final resting place was at Eternal Hills Cemetery of Forest City, NC formally called Sunset Memorial. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside is serving the family. MAX G. ALEXANDER Mr. Max G. Alexander, age 88, of Caroleen, NC, passed away on August 4, 2018. Mr. Alexander was the son of William Alexander and Lilly Whitesides Alexander Shuford. He served our country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was pre- ceded by his wife, Betty Lou Alexander; two brothers, Ray Alexander and Arnold Alexander; and three sisters, Sarah Hamrick, Betty Jones and Ethel Propst. Mr. Alexander is sur- vived by his daughter, Lisa Greene and her husband, Richard; and one sister, Carrie Pearson. The funeral service was held at Holy Ground Community Baptist Church. Mr. Christopher was the son of the late William Hendricks and Nellie Maud Cudd Christopher. He served our country in the U.S. Army dur- ing WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Holland Christopher; daughter, Linda Christopher Hulsey; two brothers, WH "Red" and Samuel "Sam" Christopher; and sister, Doris Christopher McKee. Mr. Christopher is sur- vived by his wife, Margaret Willis Christopher; son, Calvin David Christopher and wife, Sandy of Aiken, SC; stepsons, Bruce and Michael Dalton; four grand- children; and two great- grandchildren.
