Sandi Boehm has just a few days left to raise the rest of the $1,240 needed to have a class subscription to Scholastic News and materials to assist with read- ing comprehension. Scholastic News subscriptions include online resources in addition to the paper edition the second- graders would receive if the needed amount is met. The reading materials needed is for about 100 stu- dents. "The students like reading the magazine from home or the computer lab in addition to our paper copy. It's important to have engaging and current materials for our students," Boehm said.
