Evan Thomas Peters was born January 20, 1987 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was raised in a Roman Catholic family. His family moved to Grand Blanc, Michigan in 2001, where he pursued modeling and took local acting classes. When he was 15, he moved to Los Angeles with his mother to pursue an acting career. For his film debut, Peters played the role of Adam Sheppard in the film "Clip- ping Adam" (2004), which earned him the award for Best Breakthrough Perfor- mance at the Phoenix Film Festival. He appeared in televi- sion commercials for Sony PlayStation, Progressive Insurance, Moviefone, Sour Patch Kids, Papa John's Piz- za and Kellogg. Peters' breakthrough role came in 2011 when he was cast in the first season of Ryan Murphy's FX anthology series "Amer- ican Horror Story." He has appeared in all seven seasons, and is scheduled to appear in the upcoming eighth season. He has an on-again, off-again relationship with Emma Roberts, who he began dating after they co-starred in "Adult World" (2013). In July 2013, the police were called follow- ing a heated argument in a hotel in Montreal, which resulted in Roberts' arrest on suspicion of domestic violence. Peters declined to press charges, and Roberts was released several hours later. The couple became engaged five months later, ended their engagement in June 2015, and have spent the last several years alter- nating between reuniting and breaking up. Peters played the mutant Quicksilver in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" (2014) and its 2016 sequel, "X-Men: Apocalypse." It has been reported that he will reprise the role in the 2019 film "X-Men: Dark Phoenix." He currently stars in the FX musical-drama "Pose."
